The official account of Apex Legends has gone and dropped one of those wildly insane clips. Just imagine someone being able to hit every shot with goofy precision all the way through that aesthetic trailer. They did a deep dive to find alethiad and puthash,” however awful his accuracy might be.” While the clip was magnificent, the comments soon transformed into a different battlefield.
Players are not just sitting there licking shots. They are attacking Respawn with every problem in existence. I swear within minutes of that tweet going up, the replies had turned into a big list of complaints and demands. Worst of all is how fast one cool clip became the community’s biggest grievance.
Let’s begin with cheating. Players are currently screaming about cheat programs. “Stop the cheaters please!! Enough!!” Samuel bluntly says while Abdul-Hussein asks about CronusZen players on consoles. Then pamusa spills the beans about cheats: “hard aim botting on console with a complicated setup that involves xim, titan, and AI aim assist.” It’s a mess. And demigod1988 throws some shade with “Now do it with someone who doesn’t get cheese boosts,” which ouch, that’s suspicious right there.
Then we got server issues. AmericaFirst (TomWrig89812005) says “Cant play when servers are lagging horribly” and Treak XV says “Can’t hit sht when the game is bugged for me and others as well, please fix”. Then goes off on MrTally0002 ranting about the engine needing new spark plugs and oil. The move to better servers didn’t help because the engine can’t communicate with it properly. He ends with “Good Grief,” which, honestly, mood.
Matchmaking problems? You bet. Stupid Volt Main goes “Only if your matchmaking was alright – 3 stack predators on bronze lobby ain’t funny.” Has been constant complain all through these seasons; Gidi wants Diamond entry cost changed from -65 to -58, which is oddly specific but okay.
But that’s just the start! The community starts throwing feature requests and hopes for a collab in the air. Swytchers dub goes all in on the Demon Slayer collab rumors: “all I’m saying is DONT PLAY WITH MY FEINGS like that bcz you don’t know how many ppl will buy up an apex legends demon slayer collab 😭🙏🏽,” WarmGoo and Owly share the hype of the official account responding. Meanwhile, Propane goes for Kraber as floor loot in mixtape mode—sounds like a really fun idea.
Melapis has a list of possible crypto reworks, starting with “Sheila on the drone,” which, okay, would be super broken but hilarious. Tsenoble wants gyro aim for PS4/5 and PC plus mnk support for Xbox and PS, and Gino Desruisseaux just yells, “PUT DUOS MORE OBVIOUS ON THE MENU.” Fair enough, honestly.
Now, then comes the skin debate. Diego Perez and Oncey are arguing about how many “cancer patients skins” (pretty sure they mean cancer researcher skins for Lifeline) she needs, with Oncey saying “She has 4. And I can never have too many.” Then NOBLEDRAGON10 jumped in with “Bald alter and ash pls,” and Oncey replied, “Bald collection event? If it has a wraith skin I’m down.” I guess the community obsesses about bald skins a little more.
Then there’s boothehorizonuttering, “leave duos the same or i’m going to kickflip my car into lake michigan in your honor.” MrTally0002 replied, “Kickflip that shit into respawns front doors in Madison Wi. You seem closer to this one than the one in Cali. Lmfao I’d come to watch.” Commitment to the bit, I tell you.
It’s crazy how this one tweet showing someone hitting amazing shots turned into this massive community feedback session. It’s like players saw the official account was active and decided to dump every single issue they’ve been having all at once. The clip itself is from alethiad and shows some absolutely cracked gameplay. Still, the conversation around it became about everything BUT the gameplay.
Respawn has been dealing with these same complaints for a while now. The cheating situation, server stability, matchmaking – these aren’t new issues. But seeing them all laid out in response to what should have been a hype moment is pretty telling about the current state of the game. Players are frustrated, and they’re using every opportunity to make their voices heard.
The weird part is how the official account is just… there. Not really responding to most of these complaints, just occasionally engaging with the more positive comments. They replied to Swytchers about the Demon Slayer thing which got people excited, but mostly they’re just letting the complaints pile up. It’s kind of awkward honestly.
That clip is still insane, all said and done. Whoever alethiad is, they’re hitting shots that most of us can only dream of. But the community response just goes to show that no matter how cool the gameplay may look, players care about the actual experience of the game. They want fair matches, stable servers, and less cheating. And they’re not afraid to say it till their throats bleed.
Maybe Respawn will take notice of this massive response to what was supposed to be just a cool clip. Or maybe shall they just keep posting highlights while the community keeps complaining in the replies. Either way, it’s pretty clear that Apex players have a lot to say about the state of their game right now. The game’s battle royale mode remains popular despite these issues.
