Respawn Entertainment is holding a cool little contest for its Apex Legends community-and no, there’s no extra grind for the battle pass. Just film or photograph yourself strutting your Wildcard lean-back in action, hashtag #ApexLegendsLeanBackContest, and you may just become the proud owner of a beanbag. Yes, I said beanbag.
The contest goes on until August 17, 2025, and there is no necessary purchase (because who really has extra cash left after splurging on all those heirloom skins?). Just get that upload of your best lean-back move in and claim your chance at the coveted gaming throne.
And as with every Apex announcement, the replies have been… chaotic, to say the least. Those players had thoughts. Some were enthusiastic: @patrickpanda01, for example, gushed over the Nessie-themed bean bag with an emotional “Oo a Nessie Bean Bag so cute 🥺.” Others, however, were not so impressed. @debonairdandy labeled the product cheap, and @MarsMarsTitan reminisced, “Apex-themed gaming PCs were nicer….”
But the ones who took the opportunity to vent their anger? Because, when else are you going to get Respawn’s attention? @Tm31Stefan demanded louder footsteps from enemies-a classic complaint-and @riley1259 went off screaming about Ash being overpowered: “NERF ASH ALREADY!!!!! How long can she have that high of a pick rate and yall won’t do anything?!!”
Anyway, we shouldn’t forget those involved in ranked as well. While @yoitsgidi was out here suffering in Gold, expressing his frustration: “It should not be this hard to get out of gold,” @jolly_smoke begged for Caustic buffs, claiming that the gas-trapping legend was “basically useless” after recent changes.
But what really set the stage were the comments of @xxjuzi091123, who wished to simply play Apex to escape depression but was unable to due to the ever-present server issues: “Is it difficult for a big company like yours to strengthen your server? I just want to play apex when I have a depression. That’s all. 😔”
Despite the controversial reactions, some players were really expressing their excitement about the contest-or at least about Wildcard. @Raulogamer boldly told Respawn to “Leave wildcard as a permanent game mode, is really fun!” And honestly? Fair enough.
So, consider your lucky stars—or desire for a bean bag—and submit until August of 2025. Don’t forget to use the hashtag; Respawn could possibly throw in server fixes as a bonus.
Or not. Who knows? Those bean bags are enough to win.
