Elden Ring appeared on Xbox Cloud Gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass for some customers, according to Microsoft, but it was only a glitch that has been addressed.

Tom Warren, the editor of The Verge, posted on Twitter, “If you’ve seen Elden Ring as well as other videogames appearing as if they might be accessible on Xbox Cloud Gaming or Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft claims this is a glitch, and it has rushed out a remedy.”

Elden Ring, GTA V, and Soul Hackers 2 were among the games that showed up on store pages and in an advertisement for Xbox Cloud Gaming earlier this morning. However, despite much speculation to the contrary, it appears that everything was an unintentional error.

A Microsoft representative informed Eurogamer, “We’re aware of a glitch that mistakenly listed several titles as accessible with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.” “This has been fixed with a patch that we rolled out.”

Naturally, it’s not surprising that players and Game Pass subscribers made snap judgments. After all, if a game were to leak in this way before being included in the Game Pass library, it wasn’t the first time. The same way Elden Ring did here, Madden NFL 23 was previously identified on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

We’ve also seen a lot of red sardines. When the in-game video was discovered in an advertisement for the online platform, it was speculated that Cyberpunk 2077 would be included in Xbox Game Pass. The game has not yet been added to Game Pass.

However, it appears that Elden Ring, GTA V, and Soul Hackers 2 are still not included in the service; a quick check of Xbox Game Pass and Cloud Gaming has confirmed this.

Nevertheless, Xbox offers a wide selection of titles to choose from, and Fortnite was just introduced to its cloud-based service.
