Epic Games has just made a gigantic announcement, which made Fortnite fans very angry and they were constantly buzzing like very furious hornets. Team 7 is resuming its place in the Item Shop tonight, and this time besides the old friends and the fierce enemies, the latter being the main attraction, they will bring along Naruto, Sasuke, and the whole gang. This is a great opportunity for anime fans as they can now acquire the divine skins that they previously missed.
The first official Fortnite tweet was very clear when it simply said, “Team 7 stand together once again with old friends and fierce foes in tow” and confirmed them for tonight’s Item Shop return. The players? It appears they are just stunned and incredulous based on their replies. A typical case is user @xFirsTNG who posted “CALM DOWN EPIC, I JUST CAME BACK FROM ARCANE, HAVE MERCY ON MY WALLET” which completely reflects the atmosphere. I mean, how many collaborations can one game have in a week?
And to further complicate things, the situation is completely chaotic in terms of timing. According to @TZombieslayer1’s observation, the “Arcane and Naruto together” two-day adventure might be leading to “Resident Evil tomorrow?” And to be honest? At this pace, one should say nothing in the event of a surprise. More and more, Epic is outdoing itself with the crossovers. I cannot keep up with my money and I am sure there are many who feel the same way.
The replies indeed show that a rather interesting division of the community is emerging. While some users are ecstatic with happiness – @Sasuke_itemshop just shared “THANK YOU FORTNITE” accompanied by crying emojis and @pampurins is out there chanting “NINJA CLAN HERE WE STAND NARUTO IM ON MY WAY NARUTO ILL BE OKAY” like they are going to fight. On the other hand, there are some users – players who have already purchased the skins or prefer updates to re-releases – that represent the opposite side.
By directly stating “We want them updated not re-released”, @Chubby_Milkman articulated his opinion which is, to be fair, a very strong point. Most of the skins have been around for a long time already. And @kuxrrra simply called it “Mid need more dragon ball stuffs”, which is a bit brutal, but okay, this is a constant fight with the Dragon Ball fans, they just won’t stop until they get their fix, I totally get it.
Also, some of the comments are occasionally unclear when they mention the “Team 7” designation because, as several users have pointed out, the marketing image depicts eight characters. @SpiritWasLost wondered “but there’s 8 of them” and @Guffthebir echoed “Team 7? There’s literally 8 of them?” as if the math teacher had given up on Epic or if I missed some Naruto lore here?
The financial aspect is also hitting people hard, @keyes53ljh posed the question that everyone must be thinking: “How much it will cost to get all of them?” Honestly, Fortnite skins can get rather expensive, and, talking about collecting a complete set? That’s a ton of V-Bucks right there! @ClownsDead posted a gif of a wallet getting crushed with a caption saying “My wallet right now”, which is really accurate.
Nevertheless, it is still amazing to see how diverse the requests are which are popping up in the replies. One would think that everyone would be focusing on Naruto, but instead, there are some players who are using the opportunity to ask for the return of other collabs. @LiranPlayz is crying out “Kratos whennnnn????” while @slopgangster is asking for “Gorillaz to be back please”. @dietdrkelp00_ is wondering “about our favorite Greek god”, who I assume is also Kratos. @TheBlxxdSxn is doing it for Ben 10 to be part of the locker roster.
As if that was not enough, the replies also include differing opinions regarding the skin quality, with @VanillaCyclone claiming that “most of them look outdated and for those who do look good when the game reaches nighttime they look awful” which, fair enough, this is actually a valid remark. Night mode can be quite harsh on certain skins.
Also, standard Fortnite complaints are mixed in – @Pet_Mom7380 tells about locker issues which end up leading her to say “Make the game playable again! I can’t even equip anything in my locker easily anymore! My filters keep resetting!” while @FazeeSo is just screaming “FIX SAVE THE WORLD” since that mode always receives the least attention. PlayStation and Xbox players alike are eagerly awaiting more content.
