VALORANT enthusiasts were definitely over the moon when the new Myst Bloom 2.0 Bundle was unveiled by Riot Games, and the community expressed their feelings in an extremely loud and passionate way. The weapon choice hype and debate divided the responses, which as it turned out were exactly similar to the way in which the community usually reacts to every skin release in the game. Gamers loved the previous Myst Bloom because of its fairy-like and floral aesthetic; therefore, a sequel was nothing but a matter of time for the people to voice their opinions starting from the very moment of its announcement.
First things first, let’s discuss what the bundle includes. In total, there are skins for Vandal, Outlaw sniper, Ares, Bulldog, one melee weapon, and, of course, there is a player card. The visuals are fantastic, reprising the enchanting garden theme but apparently with some new twists. Anyway, the focus of the conversation is not only on the visuals but also on the guns that have been skinned.
From the very beginning, players were picking apart the gun selection. One user with the name n00blet69 tweeted, “A beautiful skin was wasted on the ares and a second sniper smh.” The opinion of several other players lined up with that of n00blet69. Instead of giving the skin to Ares, weapon that is rarely liked and another sniper when the Operator already exists? It caused a bit of a discussion in the replies. Dappoyyy chimed in with, “Imho pretty fair on Outlaw since it doesn’t have that much skin rn, but ares on the other hand…” So there is a group that thinks the Outlaw is a good pick because it is newer and needs more cosmetics, but they draw the line at the Ares choice. It is this never-ending back-and-forth that makes VALORANT skin releases such captivating experiences to watch.
On the other hand, there are the critics who do not hold anything back. Numbers of players completely and simply adore the bundle. _ig_skye replied, “Love it ima buy the vandal and the player card.” Then there is angjios who quite boldly asserted, “Need it especially that melee.” A melee weapon has become a special spotlight for many. The desire is real but so is the suffering for those who cannot afford it. Purple2bird personified it with a feeling we all experience from time to time: “I want it but got no money.” Ouch, we felt that. And sonik 🦔 made a joke out of it going a step further, “i think i need someone who gonna buy me this.” Don’t we all, dude? Don’t we?
Then, there is the player card discussion. One person who was happy about it got a response from jherbosbf saying “the player card is so cheeks no way you willing want to spend money on it😭😭😭😭”. Thus, even in the bundle, some items are categorized as must-have, while others are not so much. Kiyoko_Sano had a mixed response too by saying, “I love it! I always wanted mystbloom vandal. But the fan is meh.” It is pretty interesting how a one bundle can have so controversial sides. A saying “one man’s treasure is another man’s trash” might be applicable in this instance.
Nonetheless, the excitement is very apparent, for instance, zanieljohnson wrote, “copping the vandal,” and 0weiilxii0 replied, “deff getting it.” So, for a big part of the player base, this is a no-brainer. The original Myst Bloom Vandal was very much desired, so getting a new version is a huge thing for all, collectors and gamers who missed the first round. angelina_owo1 even sounded a bit optimistic, implying it might be a gift, saying, “Got the First one gifted maybe the second one also 🙂🫶🏼”. Gifting these skins is a social aspect that greatly enhances the economy within VALORANT.
It is really amazing to see how detailed the feedback is. veyronaa wished,”They had to add bullbog instead of ares 🥺.” This reveals that players are not only consuming content passively; they also have very strong opinions on which guns deserve to be treated with the premium skin. This high level of audience participation is what keeps the cosmetic meta so alive. It is no longer a matter of what looks nice; it is about utility, personal taste, and the current weapon meta in the game.
And the overwhelming visual attraction is impossible to ignore. ImSoApathetic, a user, who was shown a picture, simply reacted, “That’s gorgeous omg.” At times, this is really the case. Riot’s artistic team has been constantly delivering the highest-quality output, and the Myst Bloom theme is one of those designs. PlayStation and Xbox gamers might also appreciate such high-quality bundles in their favorite games.
