Riot Games has cleverly kept our anticipation high with a mysterious new VALORANT bundle teaser along with a VGA that no one is able to guess. The official VALORANT account was extremely cryptic posting a video with the title “New Bundle Teaser”, which got the players heavily discussing the next skins for the game. Honest to goodness, the hype is very real.
However, the undetermined, vague teaser is really what the players want. Light and shadow of the whole thing were some of the major points disclosed by the teaser. The players associated the sound with the light effects and the rest, as they say, is history. It looks like the majority of replies are only thinking one thing: Spectrum 2.0. The trending comments show it clearly exclaiming like “PLEASE BE SPECTRUM 2.0” and “a spectrum 2.0 bundle has to be” a lot and, to be frank, it does make sense.
At the time of its initial launch the Spectrum bundle was a great choice among the players due to the fantastic DJ Zedd’s music-reactive skins. A sequel has been constantly requested by players and this teaser’s visual style has brought to memory the same. One user even said “Its gonna ve spectrum with valll songs” which, typo aside, very well encapsulates the whole situation of excitement in the community. It seems like the players have again taken the heavenly faith of the past and this is the rebirth.
Now the whole world is waiting for the answer to the most harrowing question—when will the release be and how much will it cost? The usual concerns of a typical VALORANT player are here. One player very openly stated “when will the bundle drop and how much will it cost” because let’s be honest, we all need to prepare our wallets. Another said “maybe in 4 days and it will be very expensive for sure” which, yes, that is exactly what we think about VALORANT’s deluxe bundles.
Grok’s leaks (the non-human intelligence that usually assists gamers) point to the bundle being “Ignition” and most likely available for purchase with the new patch on November 11. How much? If you want to get the entire set, you would need around 8700 VP which is the same as the price of the premium bundles like Araxys. This is a way of saying that if you want the total collection, then you better start saving your Valorant Points now.
Speculation about the guns is also chaotic in the comments. Players are fighting vocally for the decision if this is a Phantom or Vandal bundle. A user replied: “It must be a phantom since the previous one was a vandal right?” while another was vague correcting him and said “Past spectrum was a phantom dude.” The dialog shows the players’ intense involvement—they even remember accurately what guns were part of the last collections and which are now due for a revival.
Nonetheless, some gamers claim that they have already been too enthusiastic while others are on the fence. A certain group of individuals is already categorizing it as “ANOTHER DOGSHIT FUKASS BUNDLE” and amongst their feedback is that there have been “dogshit bundles back to back and the count is now 10.” This is in fact, the typical reaction of gaming communities and their demand is less than the supply. For each hater, there are a lot of players who are eager to pay their money immediately, just like in the above comments where one says, “My card is so readyyy” and the other “My card is ready 💳” suggesting that a considerable number of PlayStation and Xbox gamers are more than ready to be surprised by whatever the outcome will be.
Furthermore, an interesting thing is that players are already proposing other skin lines than this one that they would prefer to be introduced. One comment suggested: “Should be mystbloom instead. Mystbloom 2.0.” Another user expressed his condition saying, “they shouldve added visions instead #TBH.” But the hype of the Spectrum train seems to be the strongest among all and there are several users voicing their hope for music-reactive features on par with those of the original skins.
A comment caught my attention: “if the gun lets me play renegade im throwin em my whole wallet” and I must agree? Mood! Should the skins come with custom sounds or music effects, players will be there to buy them no matter the price. VALORANT has always had a stronghold in the cosmetic game, and it is certain that music-themed bundles have had a different popularity level than the rest.
What is truly amazing is the manner in which the community’s mood surrounding the Spectrum 2.0 theory has already been settled. The teaser does not provide a clear impression.
