The dates were finally announced for the official start of R.E.P.O. and Terrifier’s availability in the Fortnite game, and the players’ reaction to the timetable is quite significant. A tweet featuring the full release calendar communicated the information, and it was stated that Art the Clown from Terrifier would appear on October 22. The date is extremely close, like, super-duper close. The community players are all focusing on Wednesday Addams, but she is not part of the release so this is causing a lot of confusion and discussion.
The picture shared by Starry_Galaxy1 features the complete Halloween season timetable plus all the horror icons. However, the main question among people is when Wednesday is going to be part of the territory. Some comments are simply asking “Where is Wednesday?” and “Wednesday??” because her absence is so apparent. One player even suggests that it all really hinges on figuring out when Wednesday is exactly going to be released, and there will be a surprise character drop since it would not be very sensible to have almost a week without new character before Halloween. That would indeed be quite crazy, right?
The hype surrounds October 22nd. One user exclaimed “THE 22ND IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST DAYS EVER”; I am with that. The release of Art the Clown on a Tuesday could be seen as odd, but at least it is very close to Halloween. Another user mentioned that even though Jason Voorhees would not be released on the exact date of Friday the 13th, it would very much be suitable if the character is launched on a Friday. It might not be perfect, but at least it’s a start.
But what about the other characters? The public is curious about Moneta and about the New Peely as if the shop will be overcrowded. One person has even questioned whether “niggy wiggy and faggy waggy” will find their way to Fortnite which is… yes, it is indeed a thing. Then again, one player is saying that the new batch of characters will make his bank account hate him which is just a joke but it’s like that’s a reality for many gamers.
Likewise, they also talked about a data mining issue where some believed that the “A Work of Art” song by Ice Nine Kills off the upcoming Terrifier 3 was going to be in the game files. Then there is a debate on whether Wednesday might be part of a Netflix collab or something else; however, some supporters have a saying it is not like a Netflix thing because with content creators emails were about K-pop demon hunters instead. It’s like who really knows what’s happening under the surface.
It is quite a mess already but at the same time in a very enjoyable way as everybody is trying to get the complete picture. The most of the characters’ release dates have been confirmed, but still, the lack of Wednesday is really making the gamers anxious. Would it be a surprise when she appears? Or is there another strategy?
Well, we’ll have to wait for time to tell that, but for now, the players are eager to see what horror the 22nd of October will bring to Fortnite along with the Halloween event that is likely to be one of the largest ever held and with all these icons, it’s going to be either a fun time or a frightful one depending on how it is perceived. But of course, your V-Bucks are going to get less because you will have to spend them.
The gaming community is divided on the recent PlayStation Plus additions, while others are looking forward to the upcoming releases on Xbox.
