For the very first time, the Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert is traveling to the US. It will be held in Los Angeles on February 28th, 2026, which signals that the gaming music experience has finally come to North America. The Peacock Theater will be the venue for this unique event where Kazuki Wada is to conduct the orchestra. He accepts the task of bringing the huge soundtracks of the popular series of Capcom‘s monster-slaying games to the American audience. The choice of the festival venue has prompted a number of debates, but it is still great news for the American fans.
So like, the official Monster Hunter account dropped this bombshell announcement and everybody was hyped at first?? The koncert is going to LA’s Peacock Theater on 2/28/26 at 8 PM Pacific Time, with tickets going on sale soon. This is literally the ONLY North American performance, which makes it super exclusive and probably gonna sell out crazy fast. Kazuki Wada conducting?? That’s gonna be insane for the music.
But then you scroll through the replies and oh man, the drama starts immediately. Players from across the country are PISSED that it’s only in Los Angeles. Like, seriously pissed. One user named States just went “America is more than just LA. God stuff like this pisses me off lol” and honestly?? Mood. So many comments are begging them to come to other places – east coast, Texas, Seattle, Canada, Europe, even Hawaii gets a shoutout from someone saying they never get the good stuff.
The east coast crew is particularly salty. User bergerachter went off saying “I’m getting so genuinely tired of everything only coming to LA. There’s an entire other coast. NYC is the biggest city in the country, why is everything only ever in LA” and like, they’re not wrong?? Gaming events always seem to favor the west coast and it’s leaving a ton of players feeling left out.
Then there’s the whole location debate within LA itself. Someone questioned why they chose downtown LA near Little Tokyo, saying it “doesn’t look safe at all” which sparked this whole back-and-forth about safety and whether certain people should even attend?? The drama got real when someone brought up political stuff and it’s like, can’t we just enjoy monster music without all that?
But wait what was I saying – oh right, the actual concert! The timing is interesting too cause someone pointed out this is happening on the one-year anniversary of Monster Hunter Wilds, which is probably intentional?? Smart marketing move there Capcom.
The hype is still real though despite the location complaints. People are already talking about selling kidneys to afford tickets (VTanooks literally said “Time to sell a kidney!” which is dramatic but relatable). MidnightBoshi captured the mood perfectly with “I am in so much pain I must go i gotta go AAAAAH” – that’s the energy we’re bringing to this concert.
There’s even some conductor tea – sebguts10 mentioned they heard the conductor is “quite a character” with a link that I didn’t click but sounds intriguing. And gowturtle was talking about separating art from artist?? Not sure what that’s about but it adds to the mystery.
The reality is gaming concerts have become huge business, and Monster Hunter’s epic orchestral scores are perfect for this format. From the triumphant battle themes to the emotional village music, this is gonna be an experience that hardcore hunters will travel cross-country for, even if they’re complaining about the location now.
Ms5000Watts made a good point about Seattle’s symphony being amazing and how they’d sell out there too, and detmarish responded that tickets would sell out instantly wherever they go. Which is probably true – the demand for gaming concerts is insane right now.
So yeah, Monster Hunter Orchestra US debut is happening, it’s in LA whether we like it or not, and tickets are coming soon. West coast hunters are celebrating while everyone else is plotting their road trips or crying about geography. The hunt for tickets begins soon, and it’s gonna be more competitive than taking down a Fatalis solo. PlayStation and Xbox fans alike will be vying for seats.
