That gargantuan crossover event between The Division 2 and Rainbow Six Siege launched by Ubisoft comes with an event where ten free Event Pass codes will be given away to lucky winners. The official Division Twitter account made an announcement about the giveaway, requesting players to comment with their favorite Rainbow Six operator for a chance to win. The response? Literally crazy with all the operator selections poured in from the community.

So what else does this crossover entail? Well, simply put, running this crossover event is everything both game communities have wished for. The Division 2 will receive Rainbow Six Siege-themed content concerning operator outfits and gear. With this kept in mind, Ubisoft are also distributing free Event Pass codes that probably provide access to the said special content. But really, the plot thickens as people come together from all over the community to share their favorite operators.

Replies started pouring in fast to the announcements, and responses from both old classics and new favorites alike started to flood in. Monsters_Bucket said, “Grandpa Thatcher is still one of my favorites on attack. Defense is definitely Kapkan,” giving this comment the ultimate old-school Rainbow Six credit.

But it wasn’t just the old-timers getting respect. Deimos, one of the newer faces, got shout-outs through multiple comments. “Deimos is my favorite so far. I wish I will be the winner [praying hands emoji],” TheFighter_001 said, with AllenCybermoon and peinate1440p joining the bandwagon. That new operator is surely making a huge impression across the Siege community.

Then, there came personal stories. IngRickTV went the nostalgic route with “OG Lesion and Caveira were always my favourites” and subsequently told a glorious tale about pulling off a 1v5 ace with Lesion’s shotgun. That deep-level operator love is what makes these crossovers so dear to heart – people have real-life memories attached to these characters.

Shoutouts to the weaponlords! MrAndrewHolmes claimed that “Hibana is without a doubt my favorite and my main attacker. Her weapons and the x-kairos launcher are just amazing,” while Ghostdrop141 exclaimed, “kaide dudes a beast with the best shotty in the game,” creating a few good-natured taunts the characters can forever continue to debate with. Every man and his loadout will not shy away from voicing their opinions.

Then came the funny. aretyy__ quoted Thermite at length: “A REALLY BIG F HOLE COMING RIGHT UP,” and skidded in with “thermite is my favorite and the best!” Whereas gerardoiscool just decided to run wild and state: “Rainbow 1. Rainbow 4 Rainbow 2. Rainbow 5 Rainbow 3. Rainbow 6” or… wait, what was I saying? That one just came out of nowhere.

Classic operators have definitely retained fans loyal to them up until this day. 210_baller was never wrong with “Sledge love him since the beta,” while FlorianHoppe2 lies in agreement, “Always enjoyed Sledge.” So these are operators that have been there from the very beginning, and obviously, players haven’t forgotten about them one bit.

And so enter the tactical types such as AspectGamein, giving his/her reasoning of “#Jäger OG Operator and still a top pick for roamers—his utility and reliability never go out of style.” And that is operator talk at the highest level. That person knows the Siege meta.

While there were a few haters, such as huKamenskoe who went straight to the point, saying: “I don’t like Rainbow Six Siege, but I like @TheDivisionGame.” MircoSfot said just “Never played it”; it’s sort of funny because these people are purposely joining a Rainbow Six-themed giveaway. Yet, free stuff is free stuff, right?

Enthusiasts rave about the crossover event calling it a lot of fun. Shawn_Gaetzman_ commented, “can’t wait to get the outfits from this event. Love them so far,” so it’s for sure the cosmetics nailed it. And there are shout-outs there for every player type, from Glaz to IQ, Zero (aka Sam Fisher), Rook, and even beach-op Warden.

Another giveaway on Instagram gives out Sweepstakes for the Rainbow Six Siege X Ultimate Edition; hence, there are various chances for the players. Meanwhile, gary_abby98 just asked, “What is the link to ur Instagram?” so clarity could have been better in dulling this query.

Such is necessary for knowing how passionately embraced both franchises are. Either a Division player dabbles in Siege content, or one of those hardcore Siege veterans; there definitely is something for everybody in this crossover. But with only 10 codes up for grabs, it’s going to be really competitive. But to watch the community inject life into these operator tales-that is nearly priceless-giveaway codes aside. Almost.

So if you haven’t entered yet, be sure to drop down the name of your favorite operator in the comments. You might be lucky enough to bring some of the ten that will be winning the Event Pass. But don’t be surprised if you see twenty other comments shouting for that same operator; the Rainbow Six community knows what it wants and will tell you straight.
