This is a game that was gorgeous already on PS4 getting the next-gen treatment with slick improved textures, lighting, and all that technical jazzy stuff that makes the hearts of photographers swoon. For 40% off? That honestly sounds like highway robbery with all the content you are getting. The main story alone will have you dry for like 30+ hours, and that’s without counting either the Frozen Wilds expansion or all the side content sprawled across the map.
There were some funny comments though, like IulianMoga94 calling “Trash game with awesome graphics!” So umm okay, I guess we are all entitled to our wrong opinions. On the other hand, xbcdmxplayer called it “The of the best game” with trophy and heart emojis, so some stand-up love remains after all these years since the game’s initial release.
There was actually a somewhat random mention of Killzone somewhere in the replies, which… dude, that’s a franchise I haven’t thought about in ages. But that just proves how badly players want even more from Guerrilla, be it Horizon, Killzone, or something fresh. What better time for this sale than with the holidays coming up and everyone looking for good action RPGs to keep them company on cold winter nights? Horizon Zero Dawn is a large vacuum of joy into which your free time will just disappear, with smattering of exploration, combat, and storytelling.
And all the surrounding rumors with what’s next for the franchise – Horizon 3, the online game they’ve all been talking about, or maybe even an unexpected turn – make perfect sense to get new players caught up on the storyline. The discount is the extra push to sway the players still on the fence about dropping full price. However, once they take a dive in to one of the most wondrous world builds that have ever existed, coupled with one of the funnest combat loops to play, they’ll understand why everyone is losing it over what’s next.
So yeah, if action RPGs with breathtaking settings and some of the most unique creature designs ever seen in gaming in general are even slightly piquing your interest, then you really should get onboard the Horizon train without breaking the bank. This Steam Autumn Sale won’t be here forever; neither will this offer. It’s just perfect to explore what’s all the fuss about and see for yourself why they’re practically begging to know the next step in Aloy’s journey.
