Yo Fortnite dudes, fasten the seatbelts because the biggest leak yet through creator emails states that Peacemaker will be in the Item Shop this Saturday! And chaos over pricing and what the bundle is going to contain has already erupted.
Here is HYPEX explaining how things basically are: The whole Peacemaker Bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks and the Skin itself for 1,200. The bundle includes 2 emotes: Season 2 Intro dance for 400 V-Bucks and Eat Peace Emote for 300. Now for an extra layer of drama, Epic mistakenly called the wrap an emote in an email to content creators, leaving content creators initially a little confused. Classic Epic mix-up moment there 💀.
Well, the community response is all over the place. Some players are actually pretty happy about the price? Like _MichealMyers saying, “They’re getting better with their pricing on skins. Kai Cenat being 800 vbucks, Peacemaker being 1,200…” Which compared to some of the 1,500 before has some truth to it.
BUT on the flip side, JohnDaBot is pretty valid in his argument: the bundles aren’t really setting any sort of discount for this pricing that they usually do. He says, “This and the Kai bundle seem to just not apply as much of a discount as we are used to seeing. Atp they’re triple-dipping, can’t fucking do that.” Sounds like they might be onto something.
Things got messier when PumpKingRBLX compared prices with those of previous bundles, saying, “just weird that such a small bundle has such a high price,” while a different crowd argued about what exactly is contained within the bundle. There is definitely confusion over whether or not the bundle is worth it.
Well, they have begun para-insisting on how to spend their V-Bucks already. xotwod0318 simply said, “Tempting, but I must save for Fortnitemares. 🎃” And honestly, the mood-It never fails, those Halloween skins, what’s Fortnitemares is all about.
Then comes the whole Vigilante situation-or rather, the lack of one. GhostPoiint asked a real question, “And no Vigilante? Seriously?” Ummm, quite literally, where is our dude? I mean, if you ask me, Peacemaker without Vigilante feels incomplete.
And oh boy, reactions to the emotes are also a mix. Jeremyyrodri1 expressed disappointment, “No season 1 intro emote 😠💔” and well, they’re justified-the intro was iconic. But we are getting a season 2 intro, which is pretty dope still.
Strangely, this all speaks to the new Fortnite pricing method: Epic is basically fishing for answers about what players truly will pay for in these collabs. Cheaper than expected skins have sprung up on the scene (Kai Cenat at 800 was startling), while bundles seem to be slipping behind in their discounting.
It’s interesting timing, really. Because it’s launching on a Saturday, when usual Item Shop drops happen on Thursdays or Fridays; all these additions will have a night of visibility, really smart.
From what we can truly see, this design is slicksterminator. Classic Peacemaker helmet with probably cool reactive elements, knowing Fortnite’s track record with those DC skins. Emotes sound fun too-walking through the intro dance from the show? That’ll be an epidemic in the lobby.
Now, the question of the whole world: is it worth it? Well, that depends on how much you love Peacemaker and DC stuff. The skin alone is at 1,200, not too much for a collab skin, but 2,800 for the full bundle might be a tough sell to some players, especially with Fortnitemares coming up and who knows what other collabs are going to come out.
What’s crazy is that within moments of leaks dropping, Fortnite dissects every pricing decision made. Within minutes of the whole leak dropping, the community was already a few steps ahead, crunching numbers to figure out whether or not the bundle discount actually made sense when compared to buying the items separately. When it comes to their V-Bucks, this community means business.
All and sundry, that’s another epic DC addition to Fortnite’s ever-growing lineup of superheroes and villains. Controversial price maybe, but I think everyone knows it’ll move like hotcakes anyway. Peacemaker is too popular a character to skip, especially after the show was so damn good.
So get ready to pick your Saturday, check your V-bucks, and decide whether you’re going to snatch that full bundle or just rock the skin. Win or lose, the lobbies are about to get a lot…peaceful? Wait, hold on, Peacemaker, so it’s the very opposite of peaceful. The best kind of chaos shall commence.
