What are the world happenings in the very recent past? A few hours ago, the polish developers from Techland gave us that confirmation that it was actually possible to “take the wheel” for Dying Light: The Beast. And it really looks insane. The official tweet says “put the pedal to the metal”, and that is precisely what can be witnessed in the official clip. Dying Light: The Beast is the thing that these kids use to race areas away with speed with their hands: either that or the heaviest weapon in “Dying Light: The Beast.” Very. That sounds so terrifyingly beautiful!

There is so much hype about the release date being September 19, truly just one week away now. Order is already being taken there.

So let me ask a very simple question, what exactly is this vehicle, then? From the screenshot attached to the tweet, it looks like the vehicle’s essence should come from a very rough, off-road type vehicle. Say a former gamer praising the raining effect on the windshield with a tweet: “Wow, this screenshot looks amazing. Love the rain and the dashboard.” And they are not wrong-it really does look next-level. Indigo said it was “a stupid observation” but then agreed with the rain on the windscreen: “looks crazy good. Sometimes, it’s the little things you remember.”

More cheers from the community were heard. Nigelxp uttered simply, “Im SOOOO hyped lets goooo🔥🔥🤯”. ReZVyce, Perciland stated that “this game gonna be the PEAK of zombie games,” a huge statement but “maybe they are onto something,” considering how big Dying Light games are. And sweatyboyonYT cried out, “GIMME DIS FUCKING GAME RN LOOK FUCKING SICK CANT WAIT,” just like me.

Then the hype train came to a halt at some legitimate concerns, as some gamers always do. “So how do I know if I have the ultimate edition or not?,” conor-james asked. The official Dying Light Twitter account went on to clarify that “Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition was available for purchase until September 30, 2024,” so if you actually bought that before the end of last month, then you should also have gained the access to The Beast.

Next big topic of discussion in the replies, being the absence of any physical edition: “We hope you will release a physical copy. please 😔❤,” pleaded sifogaminginfinity. Dark_Kloud was much more blunt: “no physical copy ….well then the lock on my wallet remains closed!….sorry techland.” A few responders shared that the digital-only decision left them somewhat irritated as collectors and disc-carrying kind.

Questions kept coming about enhancements and performance. angel asks: “What’s the Pro enhensmants?” (Most likely: enhancements for the VG rumored PS5 Pro). Crowley followed up with: “Is DL the beast gonna get any special enhancements for the ps5 pro?” Techland remains yet to answer, of course, but it’s really the players asking now. MosesLominyo was far more universal: “Inshallah no stutters 🙏day 1 pour moi.” Honestly, we’re all praying for a smooth launch.

More little things that went under random but hilarious: “Can I watch Madagascar in the back?” wonders JJ the twisted jester; an excellent question for a car scene. And Jorge Tavares speculated about a “New collab Dying light X Fortnite???” sharing an image, which would be… something else.

Matt G responds with UI feedback: “Is the UI/HUD elements we see from the gameplay demos the final results? imo it’s kinda ugly, DL1 & DL2 are far better… 😩”. It’s always surprising what part of a game the players care about, and the HUD is a significant block as far as usability goes.

And that was the beginning of a classic crossplay request: User صهيب 🇸🇦 bluntly demanded, “We want to play with friends across platforms 😡😡”. That’s a fair request these days.

So the expectation for Dying Light: The Beast is suddenly mounting to a fever pitch with the big day just hanging on the endless week away. A new way to move around the zombified world and a new way to thump them down? Yes, please. Supposedly, the pre-load info is coming the 17th, so get those hard drives ready! I would never want September 19 to come any later. One hell of a ride this is shaping up to be-the literal translation.
