These collaborations have gone completely wild on Fortnite, especially with that DC collaboration on the loose. Peacemaker-the one in the HBO Max show-now in Fortnite along with his bird named Eagly-historically, of course. Yes, you did actually hear it right. There was a huge online uproar when HYPEX leaked the news, and the reactions followed: utter madness.
The Peacemaker skin, looking more or less like John Cena’s character, helmet and all, is the main attraction. But Eagly is and will always be the star, as vehemently agreed upon by almost everyone in the responses. Actually, Eagly is not a skin, but a backbling, a plush backbling that’s got some players very excited while others…are not so thrilled. User Zion59424957 remarked, “Is it bad I despise the plushie backblings?” which I mean, okay. Then we had 0xKrop who said, simply put, “EAGLY is the best.” So, there you go, divided opinions.
Then we also get confusion over what animal Eagly is even trying to be?? That’s a whole different matter. Donaldnorton3 said, “Looks like an owl….” And Anther_User said, “That’s a duck.” While KatamariSquib called it a “seagull backbling,” following up with “Who cares.” The identity crisis is indeed real for this digital bird; haha.
And the drama sees no end there. The enormity of those mega disappointed by Vigilante’s seeming absence from the show goes on. Cacheebache was gloomy: “I need him but there’s no other encrypted stuff 💔.” SDHCTP called HYPEX outright a “lying sack” for hinting Vigilante would be there too, which, unfortunately, hurts. But the demand is real with The__Legion_ begging, “Please tell me vigilante is coming too.” Might he be delayed? Ogoid94 offered: “Maybe he is coming in later 🥲,” which is optimistic.
Then what comes along with this emote is just pure madness. Aryan15309 clings, “What is that emote 😭,” which pretty much sums up the whole mystery of the dance or whatever it has been attached to. People are curious about the release date too with grimstone007 screaming into the void, “WHEN IS THE RELEASE DATE.” Official sources have not said one word, though, but the sooner the better if Fortnite has anything to say about it.
Some of the answers went all off beside it, such as from Nichola15024365, barking, “Where’s the demon slayer collab it would make so much sense to come out now.” Also, LoganBell972836 submitted a bug report about keyboard binding, which is…random but I guess important to some.
Even so, we can really feel the excitement. HasashiSir celebrates, “AFTER FOUR YEARSS,” while FuecocoIsBetter goes nuts with, “HE HAS OTHER BEACONS OF FREEDOM AS STYLES!?” Jumpercakes seriously wants Eagly to be more than just a backpack, “WILL EAGLY BE A PET????” and that would be pretty awesome.
And that is yet another day in the life of the Fortnite collaboration machine, constantly spoon-feeding players from every nook and cranny of pop culture. The Peacemaker will easily fit with the already loosely tied DC stuff in the game. Whether you came for the skin, the bird, or just for the chaotic event that erupted around it, it’s second in line in Epic’s slate of ever-fresh wins. Now we just gotta wait for that Item Shop update to finally see when this bad boy arrives at the boutique. And just maybe, man, Vigilante makes it too and closes the act. FINGERS CROSSED!
