So, let’s talk a bit about the whole build-up. Nahida is the ruler of Sumeru, full of ancient wisdoms competing with any curiosity in the world. In other words, a technically centuries-old being trapped inside a child-like form, making the idea of trading knowledge really adorable and ominous to ponder about-what kind of travel story could we possibly spin for someone who has seen everything? Player NFTMani_eth put it beautifully: “Trading travel stories with Nahida feels unfair she’s literally got centuries of wisdom while I can barely recall last week’s errands.” Same, dude. Same.
And then the real crisis begins when players start asking lore questions. Vespera asks straight up why Nahida is called the “Lesser Lord” while the previous Dendro Archon Rukkhadevata was the “Greater Lord.” And, oh boy, the replies are in total disarray. Some players remember the full story, while others are like “Wait, who?” TakumiYozora even says “?? What are you talking about. I never heard any character with the name Rukkhadevata,” which is hilarious because that’s a major plot point. It’s like walking into a movie halfway through and trying to figure out who the villain is.
Citrus Domestica opts for the simplistic explanation: “well to put it simply, rukkadevata is GIANT TREE. while nahida is from a twig.” Okay, that’s one way to put it. SaahilHasan offers more of an in-depth explanation: “Rukkhadevata was the original Archon hence the Greater Lord title while Nahida is the newest Dendro Archon that according to Archon age is a baby and was also heavily disregarded by the Academia hence the Lesser Lord title.” So basically, Nahida got done dirty by her own people, which is why she’s “lesser.” But she is adored by players anyway. MasonNa53083594 shouted: “ALL HAIL THE HOLY RADISH.” Dialka called her “My little atomic lettuce.” Those are the best nicknames ever.
Of course, there will also always be a player looking for some dirt. UltimateHakai1 asks, “any chance on getting nahida for free ^^” and Wan-chan quickly cuts it off with: “Unless someone sent you the primos needed, no. Hoyo never gave free archons.” Hoyo’s stingy like that, but we keep pulling anyway.
Lots of players are just here for the vibes. KellySalvaore says, “Sounds fun, I’d love to hear your stories while learning more about Nahida’s lore,” and that’s just pure wholesome vibes. PieAlice55 hopes that all the archons meet and play hopscotch someday, which has now become my favorite headcanon. And then YouSpoonyBard1 spotted Aranara in the art and lost it: “ARANARA SPOTTED LETS FUCKING GO!!! THE SILLY LITTLE GANG!” That’s infectious enthusiasm, really.
But not everybody really digs it all. Lucian01_watts says “ain’t no way doing thag” while thisdecfairy says “No we can’t” as if they are not even tempted. And meanwhile, GyuShinoo is worried about Varka becoming a regulars character, which is whole another drama. Then Mellowblerd’s complaining about the Traveler not having any regional outfits-a very valid concern but probably not at the moment, my guy.
Amusingly, a good number of players just respond with memes and images. Stevennlinn posts a gif of someone nodding vigorously, and another player posts a pic of two hands shaking implying “Me and Nahida trading knowledge.” All in good fun, these tributes speak volumes about the love the community shares for this character.
So, what’s this tweet about anyway? Looks like Genshin Impact is trying to push some renowned lore or maybe a future event onto Nahida. The link actually directs one to further details, but then the real party begins in the comment section where players are arguing, memeing, and professing their love for the Dendro Archon; whatever side you stand on with lore or radish jokes, this will entertain you. And maybe Nahida will, in fact, actually share some wisdom with us if we tell her about getting lost in Ikea. Worth it?
Till now, arguably the most beloved character ever made in Genshin Impact is alive and well for this tweet. She is wise, caring, with a tweaked limit of mischief, and players are just way too fond of her. So, if you have any travel stories, this is your time. Trust me; she isn’t impressed with your five-minute trip to the supermarket. She’s seen much, man. She’s seen much!
