A fresh update was dropped on Monster Hunter Wilds, by Capcom, and well…whatever one thinks about it, it’s quite an addition for anyone pursuing the perfect talismans. The official MH Twitter account warned players to check in with the Support Desk at Base Camps and Grand Hub, for their Limited Bounties had been altered with this huge one: “Complete 1 Quest Ranked 9-Star or higher.” Reward? Instead of one talisman, a whole pack-one is given a “Silver Talisman Ticket” that can then be traded for ten talismans with Suja. Ten talismans! That is a lot of RNG-roll opportunities.

Those still struggling on their way to the endgame will surely inform that the 9-star quest is big business. Very few monsters pose greater challenges in Wilds right now-and with great challenges come great rewards-the talismans are the last step in finishing your build-and having ten all at once? Time saver number one! Players are scrambling for the prizes with mixed feelings, of course.

A player (or hunter) known as Saitax seemed to really have an exalted opinion of it: “I quite love those tickets. They give me more rolls to be disappointed by!”, which is… very much a mood. However, Saitax actually thought the talisman system itself was “quite good” but wished for weapon deco slots instead of just armor ones. Fair.

However, others aren’t congratulating the developers. Instead, a few other less-than-perfect responses arrived, like Toro calling the game “trash and dead” altogether- that seems a bit harsh, to say the least!! Meanwhile, fellow hunter Jv addressed Capcom with: “Hey, Capcom, make arch-tempered 9 stars please 🥺.” Arch-tempered monsters in 9-star format? That’s old pain with a touch of sheer amazement.

There’s a weird bug here, though. ThatBeardedGuy says that after the failure to complete the 9-star hunt, it still counted towards him finishing the bounty. So … Free ticket? Don’t fix that anytime soon, Capcom. Players will take any win they’re given.

Then there’s talk about the event quests and their cycle. Brettku wants Capcom to “cycle current and past events to get previous armor and weapons” which is a standard request. Another user, ValleyHipparion, tries to soothe them by saying that yes, the events do cycle, particularly during festivals, so plan to “come back for the fall festival.” So, if you’ve missed something, there’s still hope.

But wait, what if you are still struggling with these high-rank quests? The community already offers some advice. As Ms.Guide appeared to be struggling, some people came out with tips. Calm Rajang says take down “Rey dau” as the easiest 9-star quest, while Saitax and Maxton Evandiél name Arkov and Lagiacrus, or even Uth Duna. It’s really nice to see hunters treating each other like that.

With just an inch injection of nostalgia, ES 46 came onto the scene to say that the monster “was heralded as major apex back in World, King of the Ancient Forest,” meaning that the legacy from the last games is still very much felt in Wilds. Nucu is already thinking about the future, begging for 10-star quests anytime now. Because 9-star is not hard enough already, right?

Of course, not everything’s about bounties. Noah asks for free vouchers for editing or at least infinite vouchers for character edits; he’d literally pay 20 dollars for that. Chillinskey wants to know if they can layer over the Akuma armor, to which… same, honestly. Fashion hunting is endgame too.

Meanwhile, John Cruelty can’t even launch the thing. Big oof. Hopefully fixed soon.

This update, overall, is a very strong move by Capcom. The community can only applaud the move of giving players new ways to farm talismans that don’t outright appear to be grinding. Silver Talisman Ticket provides a great incentive for doing those higher-level quests, and the community has gone heavy on it already. Bug fixes and a few mixed reactions aside, there is one way or another Monster Hunter Wilds still gets some heavy bearing from the developers and community.” So, if for whatever reason you haven’t gone in for some time, this might just be the right moment to revisit that old weapon of yours and put in some hours tackling a couple of 9-star quests. Fingers crossed for some talisman luck with you.
