The official Valorant update got that clip out and now everybody is talking about, “What even IS that??” The tweet features a video of some insane, supposedly unbeatable agent combo, captioned with “What can you even do to that?” and gamers are going nuts in the replies.
Right away, the hottest drama did not concern gameplay, credit, or whose issue it was. Many players have been calling out and scolding @ValorantUpdated for not crediting the original creator, @Eujegue_, who was alleged to have produced the very first video. @kkamivlr even outright said “que vergonha” (meaning “what a shame” in Portuguese) in demand that credit be given to the Brazilian content creator. @TzFlame seemed to give some support with “my partner @Eujegue_ had this idea first, please give proper credits.” The credit situation is getting uglier fast.
On to the actual gameplay cords, because wow. Those agents are alleged to have mixed and brewed a crazy combo, with Viper’s toxic screen (commenters call it “vyse wall,” probably a nickname for Viper’s abilities) and maybe one more agent’s utility to create an unpushable scenario. @earnlabcom called it “the most broken agent combo in Val atm,” and honestly, after seeing the reaction, they might not be wrong.
The location should be that of B site on Corrode map, which @Simpl_x1ty outright HATES going to and calls it “actual fucking cancer.” So, yeah, you can imagine that setup must be very oppressive. Like having to push through that?? @kumkw4t had the only logical response: “I mean don’t run like headless chicken in closed space when there’s a vyse wall?” Hey… fair point. Maybe just don’t push into obvious death traps? Revolutionary idea.
Players are already theorizing how to counter and get around this nightmare setup. @Kishstar0 said “One Yoru clone and is over,” which sounds about right-send in a fake to trigger whatever abilities are creating this death zone. @aselyrie says: they “need a breach to do this.” Most probably to stun or disrupt the setup. @trendz_only wants to test it with Waylay to find out how the agents would extract themselves. The community is undertaking fast problem-solving.
The really cool part is how international the reaction is. P.T.O. comments in Portuguese, Polish, Turkish… @Esemek3606 spoke about taking Viper in Polish, @Oqtoppi and @ibrahim97291463 planned to try that combo in Turkish, and @Emir86178el talked about BBL taraftari (Google tells me it’s related to some e-sports team). Valorant’s global community sure is flexing while discussing this broken combo.
Also, can we give a shooo-out to probably the greatest joke in gaming by @Looooomaaaa: “Thought they banned that after WW2 tbh”-yeah, that combo looks like actual chemical warfare. Too soon? Maybe. Funny? Definitely.
The real question is: is that actually intended gameplay or some weird interaction Riot might patch out? Given how oppressive that looks, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some tweaks coming. But until then? It’s going to be crazy to watch players already set to use it in their games. @OYanke_ told @LTzDeVersacee to “já vai anotando essa aí fi,” meaning “go ahead and note this one down, bro,” to which @pedrozauchin replied “bora faze,” or basically “let’s do it.”
This wild stuff is partly about how fast the Valorant community is dissecting these things. A couple of hours after the tweet, we have credit drama, counter-strategies, complaints about the map, and players talking about doing it themselves in matches. The meta is evolving this fast; it’s actually insane.
Be it patched or not, people are talking because that was just insane. And also, this credit dispute with @Eujegue_ brings to light how important rightful credit is among gaming communities. These content creators really put in the time to learn about these strategies, and the community sure notices when they’re not properly credited for their time.
For now? If you ever see a Viper setting up some crazy-ass wall on B site, Corrode… just go A. Seriously. Your KDA will appreciate it.
