Alright, Fortnite players, buckle up because the Fortnite Item Shop will get numerical quite soon. Just a second ago, HYPEX shared a very sought-out piece of information, which is Adventure Time is returning to Fortnite, and people are already going crazy. I don’t know, I feel this kind of collab hit differently. It’s somewhat special.
What is happening? The Adventure Time skins are dropping in the item shop. Finn and Jake and their friends are coming back after so long. Based on the reactions to HYPEX’s tweet, it looks like people are ready to throw their V-Bucks at the item shop.
This doesn’t look like just the main tweet story. The current Fortnite community issues are reflected in the random nature of responding tweets. Carton Network and Fortnite, for example, were tagged by Scoop named Sam alongside Tim Sweeney. Scoop begged for new Adventure Time skins and other styles for Fortnite. That is some dedication.
In the meantime, other users are requesting something totally different in the tweets. Some crying emojis, and a tweet by a Nick Milano moaning “Where’s JJK,” which is an abbreviation for Jujutsu Kaisen. There is also chaos around the Polo Prodigy skins coming back on September 4th. The timeline is disorganized, but it is supposedly confirmed by dataminers.
And listen – the players are already complaining about what isn’t coming back. SpeedyMilan was the first to say “Anything but polo prodigy why do we have to get this load of BS does epic not want money or what” which I agree with completely. Then, Wage was like “It can stay away,” which is cold, but I guess fair.
There is also this entire Balenciaga chaos in the responses. Players want to know when those luxury fashion skins will be returning and, Grok, a sort of AI responder, gives detailed explanations on shop rotations and return dates. Some of these responses say September 2025, which is either a typo or we’re travelling to the future and no one really knows.
The most striking disorganization is how much people cannot agree on what is wanted from the item shop. Some await Adventure Time, some wish for the return of JJK, and then there is the entire Balenciaga division. Epic Games has to deal with so many different communities and is near impossible to satisfy all of them at once.
Court Vision’s reply made me laugh: “Guess I’ll be applying for a second mortgage too… because who needs savings when you can have adventure and Mama Coco in one night?” Fortnite summed up perfectly — your wallet’s sobbing while your character is looking fresh as ever.
Fortnite, in general, has a pretty different community but can we also get into how nothing is related in the replies? Is there a way that someone can explain the context because Toad0082 is shouting “WHY CAN’T I ESCAPE FROM HER”? While that, Chino69666 is on the subject of pansexual flags being placed by mistake?? The Fortnite community is something purely special.
Turning towards the central and shocking disclosure — Adventure Time is making a comeback, and those of us who never got the opportunity to try it are definitely missing out. Seasons have come and gone, and with this new season launching, Epic has the opportunity to bring back collaborations. As usual, the timing is impeccable — take people’s season pass V-Bucks immediately.
What strikes me the most is how HYPEX is essentially the Fortnite shop as well as leak oracle. Everyone in the replies is asking about everything from crew pack payments to the return of some random skin. People have this funny view of HYPEX being some kind of customer support which is hilarious but also a testament of community’s trust on leakers.
There is a little bit of update confusion in the replies as well. JinxViPowder69 was wondering if tomorrow is the “not big update day” with the “small crappy one which never does anything,” which, same energy when waiting for patches that never do anything.
No doubt, the return of the Adventure Time skins truly aides Fortnite’s freshness. Even after all the years, there excitement of collabs returning creates so much hype (and spending). And the likelihood of new styles, or maybe even additional characters from the series, means that the item shop reset tonight could be more exciting than usual.
So set those alarms, save your V-Bucks, and get ready to scrapbook Adventure Time’s collection as soon as the store updates. This is because Fortnite’s grabbing window for your skins is limited; Math is confirming this!
