So the Sentinels Valorant Twitter account had just uploaded a tweet with a warning emoji and a pic… and practically everyone in the scene has been talking about it ever since all this drama came to a head. Like, you know, when two teams go at each other in social media? It’s a free-for-all where everybody is picking sides. Well, something along those lines is currently happening.
The tweet reads, “know the signs ⚠️,” accompanied by a warning emoji and an image. But just look at the replies: that’s where the real tea is. There is a raging online war in the digital world, watching players and fans duke it out for glory. At present, the biggest drama seems to be between Sentinels and Cloud9, particularly involving players like neT and Okeanos, and talk about some banter that has not aged well followed by mutual shade-throwing between orgs.
One of the first comments that truly sparked the response was from collinlac, who flatly said, “another sentinels L”. Like…ballsy. Following this, the comebacks flooded forward: “What does a 100T guy know?” from naengg1 and “100t the only ones taking Ls lil bro” from yvngzolzyk. It’s like everybody is dredging up their team affiliations to throw into this mess.
But wait!? There’s more?? Apparently, all of this started around some prior banter between neT from Sentinels and Okeanos from Cloud9. They were going back and forth before, and now it’s back to haunt them. User Ri_ize0 pointed that “it was fun to watch okeanos and neT go back and fourth but this is kinda bias for this guy,” which makes sense? Like, banter is supposed to be fun, but when orgs get involved it gets messy.
There’s whole thing arguing on whether orgs should even be trash-talking each other. User dave_132001 stated: “God forbid teams banter with one another” while others think it’s crossing a line. User dr3amzbtw added an important point with “i think neT put himself in this spot from bantering too much” which… yeah, maybe? If you’re gonna talk trash you gotta be ready for it to come back at you.
And then the G2 media team got somehow dragged in?? User zikwd stated, “but have you seen the G2 media team though? they been going off on their opponents after they win,” so apparently this isn’t even just a Sentinels vs Cloud9 thing anymore. It’s like the entire Valorant competitive scene is just one big drama factory sometimes.
More interesting is how some of these replies turned instant-personal. Like, user ihatenigghahs went in with “dudes ego so high thinks hes the best player itw trash ass aim hows he in a org,” which is… harsh. Then Sahil🌪️ also came out strong with “Every time he stands up against sen his team loses 😭 Bro get a clue,” basically fueling the fire.
But like… is this good for the scene? Some say it makes the banter more entertaining, while others consider it harmful. User ratish_senthil stated that “Almost every na pros knows eachother and it’s funny banter,” which is probably true- these players really do know one another and probably don’t take their back-and-forth as seriously as the fans do.
It is also funny timing to have this because Sentinels really have been playing great lately according to hmmmmyuhh who said “they’ve qualified for every international this year and have been playing great lately lmao.” So like… why make drama when your boys are on a hot streak? Maybe just for clicks? Social media teams eat that stuff up.
It’s insane just how fast these Twitter beefs can spiral out of control. One minute it’s light banter, and the next people are bringing up things from a year ago and involving entire orgs. User Kaalin8 apparently tried to drag up some old drama and got shot down with “yes bro remind them of something that happened a year ago with a brand new young roster, it’ll definitely hurt them.”
But at the end of the day, this is just how competitive gaming communities work sometimes. There’ll always be trash talk, there’ll always be banter, and there’ll always be people who take it way too seriously. If it’s within the players, all right with it, and doesn’t go into harassment, then it’s probably just part of the show.
