Being a player, you know what to expect from updates. Whenever an act comes into play, another battle pass gets released. And so much anticipation rushes through the melee weapon that lands in one’s hands. Hold your keyboard for just a moment-the leaks are out, and what a treat!
The ValorantLab_JPN account gave the first full reveal of the Interhelm Sword, the S25A5 Battlepass melee, and, let me tell you, it really isn’t what anybody was expecting. It looks… expensive. I mean, premium skin expensive. Not your usual battle pass filler knife.
If you ask me, it’s wild. It’s an embalming combination of sleek and almost futuristic design, glowing blue energy core in the hilt? I think it is a hilt. This is something I could place in a regally high-budget anime. The player base is going crazy in the response sections, and honestly? Me, too.
One player, ryco xo, kept on calling it “insta buy.” And I just full-on agree with him. Another user, ๐duardo๐, screamed “CARALHOOOOOOOOOOOOO,” which is, for those who don’t understand Portuguese, the rendering of extreme hype and surprise-to compare, an intensely familiar and loud “HOLY CRAP.” That hype is universal.
Then, questioning would never go away. There was always doubt. User W ๐ต๐ธ thought it was going to look somewhat like a Sovereign knife but ended disappointed by commenting that it rather looked like the Prelude knife. However, immediately after were the words of another individual, ASH, who said, “ah yes, because riot games always puts an UPGRADABLE melee in the battle pass. be so fr.” And they do have a point. Gotta be for real here; the battle pass melees are never upgradable with fancy animations or anything. They’re just cool-looking skins. And this one looks cool.
That would be screaming fantasy RPG for me. A player even called it “Blade of the ruined king, fake edition,” which is a League of Legends reference, and honestly? Pretty accurate. It has that dark and powerful feel to it. Another stated that it is a “Divergence from temple holy,” which is… saying. I believe what they meant is that it departs from the typical holy or temple theme skins we sometimes get.
Now, the big question on every player’s mind, aside from its awesomeness, is about the act itself. Someone in Portugal asked if ranked gunbuddies were coming with this act. Another user, Hunter, asserted, “Only when episode ends this just an act end.” So, let’s keep our wallets closed for now when it comes to buying those radiant buddies. They usually come at the end of an entire episode, not just a single act.
I love how the reactions are scattered everywhere. By far, the best. You’ve got guys stating the obvious, like “These are fire” and “This might be the one I will get.” Then come those tagging their friends with “olha essa puxada ta maluco nem parece q eh skin de passe,” which is basically, “look at this pull, it’s crazy, it doesn’t even look like a battle pass skin.” And they gotta be right. It looks way too good.
Another person simply said, “Thank God, something new this time,” but yeah. Sometimes skins just felt so monotonous. But this sword? This is something different. Not a butterfly knife, karambit, or classic sword shape-it’s unique in its own right.
The buzz is so real it can be touched. From all caps screaming and tag-buddy-ing, the VALORANT community is super loud about this battle pass buzz. Interhelm Sword is shaping to be one of the most talked-about battle pass items in a minute. It has that one special something that makes you wanna play just to unlock it.
They might have really over-delivered this round. It’s a daring call, and the players are clearly into it. That mix of futuristic and fantasy-edge aesthetics really hits the spot. Now we only have to wait for the act to actually drop so we can all get our hands on it, then it’s down to swinging this thing around the game. The wait will be torturous; I’m sure it will be worth it. This is exactly the kind of content that keeps people coming back to the game season after season; a really stand-out melee for the collection.
