In a flood of information about Mualani, hydro guide from Natlan’s People of the Springs, the Genshin crowd has evolved into a throng trying to analyze whether or not to pull for this character. The official tweet gave glimpses of her bright personality with a teaser of “Try not to fall!”, but the real show began in the replies where theorists went on to badmouth different team comps.
To start with-Mualani’s kit revolves around Hydro application and what the community calls “lunar charged” mechanics. Panlilio Christopher plainly said that she is “currently the only consistent forward vaporize damage dealer” in Natlan, which has enormousism for meta players. But there is a catch: Looks like she is destroyed against Nightsoul barrier-type enemies, for she is classified as “low-frequency” in her attack patterns. Such a tragedy! Imagine pulling for a 5-star who can’t really fight along with basic mimics.
The house broke down when deuzexmachinna asked whether they gots to replace Xingqiu for Mualani on their team for melt-vape-lunar-charged abomination (their words, not mine). Nashu gave the very harsh truth: “From an efficient pov, Mualani’s hydro isn’t enough to proc lunar chrgd enough.” He said, “If you’re really gonna center her around it, just go straight vaporize.” Meanwhile, SilverhandAK defends Chasca by saying that the flying of the pyro character makes her more beginner friendly.
Not everyone has caught the meta though. Erbi simply wrote, “Mualani we love you” with some heart emojis, while ady (lovestruckr) went ahead to disparage her by saying, “the worst Natlan character and the most boring one.” The whole Genshin community reacted with a side discussion where xjiemomo1 returned with “You’re mexicancer nobody needs your negativity dirty illegal alien,” which… yikes? The Genshin Fandom is indeed free.

This basically seemed like one of those “divide-and-conquer” characters, whereby you either find comfort with her hydro mechanics or just outright bench her. Vaporize potential? Yes, according to the theorycrafters, but she is definitely not the braindead OP that some players hoped for. With Natlan’s rosters still getting populated, might be worth chilling for a sec and seeing who she fits into upcoming teams best with before you blow those primos or do it just for waifu reasons-we won’t judge.
Can we just comment on how all cheerful this official tweet was: “Hello Traveler!” whilst the replies are basically a war zone of meta-debates and random racism? Never change, Genshin community. Never change.
