Rockstar had launched a new vehicle recently for those hanging in GTA Online; hence, the community seems somewhat divided on it. The Pegassi Torero XO will be free to all GTA+ members until September 10, with half-price GTA$ and RP on Auto Shop Contract Finales, Atomic Racing apparel, among other perks. After all, some players were happy, while others were not, and soon Rockstar was being roasted for not showering them with what they really wanted: GTA6 news.
Now, the car itself. The Pegassi Torero XO is a sleek beast with high performance, I mean, style in Los Santos! If you are a GTA+ subscriber (which costs $7.99 a month), go ahead and snag this for free. A perfect deal; supercars- even if virtual- for free. However, here’s where the flames start: Some players are going as far as to call it lazy.
One user, @cristishady, asked bluntly, “Honest question, is there anyone who did not already have this? I remember buying this car years ago on a Black Friday event, lol.” And, honestly? Fair enough. It does feel like an obsession of Rockstar to recycle old content as “new perks.” Another player, @fix_subs, chimed in sarcastically, “Free? LOL. GTA+ is $7.99 a month or $95.88 a year!!! Iโll buy it in-game with virtual money for ‘free,’ thank you.” Ouch.
Now, the main subject of controversy–real, real, beauty–is GTA 6 standing on the nearby table. The open-aired replies to Rockstar’s announcement are flooded with demands for the next installment. @HVCUnit cut through all the noise to say, “Just give us GTA 6 already.” @processangel1 took it a notch farther, “GTA 6 is making someone richer and someone else more frustrated. When the game is still broken and overpriced. Typical Triple A.”
Even the handful who do have some kind of enthusiasm for the Torero XO have to tie it right back to GTA 6. @1YungHurricane pleaded, “That car MUST be in GTA 6 ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ฅ #GTAVI.” Meanwhile, @PainkillerH20 mocked, “Lucia will love this car,” referencing the female protagonist hinted at in rumors.
Then you’ve got many arguing about GTA+. Some players, like @Weissborg, are having their grumbles: “Maybe if you added GTA Online access to getting GTA+ for those that only care to play GTA Online and not the other PS Plus games, maybe GTA+ would improve in sales.” Others, like @arg_cc, have gone outright trash-talking it: “Canโt believe there are people paying for a membership…”
So what’s the verdict, then? Rockstar’s new GTA+ drop is cool if you’re into car collecting, but it cannot keep the community from that pressing demand for news on GTA 6. The hype for the next is starting to boil; in the meanwhile, players will keep bashing every “new” patch that looks rather recycled.
Until then, you guys in GTA+ should get that Torero XO and have fun riding around. Don’t expect the GTA 6 questions to go away anytime soon, because they require Rockstar’s serious explanations, and the clock is ticking.
