An interesting price drop that has PlayStation Nation going wild was just applied. On the alluring lightness of the Deals of the Week list, the game is getting its spotlight, enjoying a 25% discount for PS5 owners. And, yes, if you have been delayed from heading over to Bend Studio’s open world of Zombies, surely this would be the perfect time to do so.

What in particular could be wrong with Days Gone Remastered? One might say the definitive version of the 2019 survival-horror, now optimized for PS5 from the ground up with superior graphics than the original, speedy loading times, plus all DLCs. And an offer like this, it almost feels donated.

So, there are those that have not been charmed. “Some people, like Neil (@GeordieNeilo), just say some stuff that is really hard to get over: should we really have to pay full price for an upgrade when we already have the PS4 version?” “I’ll just wait until it’s free,” he said. Ouch. There are a few who want to stubbornly delay and hold out for a physical PS5 release: “I’ll buy it again… if there’s a native PS5 physical release,” Fendera (@Fendera_1337) tweeted.

And then it goes to the Xbox discussion-because how fast can it ever NOT enter an argument? “Xbox 💚✅💚” said @noname1012750, igniting a slight Internet brawl in response. Some argued that Sony would never port their exclusives to Xbox, whereas some pointed to the Spider-Man PC release as proof that everything could possibly happen.

And then you have Manuel (@ManuelRDM) and company flexing their modded version of the game on PC: “I highly recommend the PC version,” he said. “The mods are amazing.” For enyjoying exclusive fun on consoles, it remains the PS5 remaster with a discount.

Now, one serious question still sits in the hearts of players out there: Where is Days Gone 2? Quite a few people, including Ryan (@Itz_Crossbow), just outright demanded it. Bend Studio hasn’t given any pretty assurances yet, but you can clearly see there is certainly a demand.

So yeah- if Days Gone has been more or less a sleep-inducing drug for you, do wake up now. This discount is not here to stay forever, so the newly upgraded Days Gone is easily the best path for anyone who wants to experience Deacon St. John’s wild ride. Oh and, don’t expect an Xbox release anytime soon. Or, uh, ever. Probably.

Having played it before? Maybe it’s time for round two. After all, those hordes don’t kill themselves. Unless you mod them out. But where’s the fun in that?
