Russo stamped that the Forza update has just gone a bit mad with racing in it. It was said on the official Forza Twitter about awarding maximum open-wheel thrills to players in modern-day IndyCars in either Featured Multiplayer or the brand-new Thunder Tour of Champions Cup Career mode. And the reaction to this is… NUTS!
This Thunder Tour seems to be the real deal. Motorhead exclaimed that it was “extremely fun and exciting” and added that they finished the whole thing just a few hours after the update was released. Good buddy Evan R. Smith shared just as much excitement about the IndyCar and labeled it the “favorite content update by far.” But, with joy comes sorrow. Some PlayStation players are already feeling left out, Burkell777 airing, “Meanwhile us users of @PlayStation get fucked again.” Ouch.
The one that they’ve called interesting were the controversies surrounding the IndyCar. Yorchspeed tried flexing, saying from the replies, “far superior machines to Indy are GT7 Super Formula cars.” But to be honest, Forza’s players simply won’t allow that because they’re busy scratching their heads seeking more tracks. DackAtak literally begged for Long Beach, Sonoma, and COTA to come back, even begging Forza 7 to do a simple port. And then there’s RealAlexStigall, who’d literally like to find out if the Long Beach and COTA are happening very soon, like, right now.
You cannot have a Forza update without some chaos, and so here are some remembering to curse about the always-online DRM with Wheat Pasta saying, “Please remove the always online DRM.” Meanwhile, Jamie McKinlay took the contrary sides in the matter of multiplayer lobbies, saying, “no one in multiplayer is capable of driving them.” Is it true? Maybe. Is it funny? Yeah.
Now here are some random yet hilarious off-topic comments. Rogersmith1300 tried getting over the GT7 SUV additions saying, “Oh yeah? Well I just got a new SUV on GT7 haha cries inside.” DeltaHalo117, meanwhile, rushed to shoot PlayStation fans down by saying, “Yall better keep posting otherwise PS fanboys will claim you are dead.” Savage.
And now the single big question has come about—what’s next? Already some players are begging for the next updates and whether this IndyCar content is hitting Forza Horizon (DMPicone, we’re watching). Other players, including Brandon Knows Gaming, want to know if career mode is launching with seasons. But with that locked game mode sitting so conspicuously on the title screen, does anyone else feel like it’s winking at us and saying, “Big reveal coming soon!”? (Dataminers, save us.)
For one thing, there is no doubt that Forza Motorsport will never come to a halt anytime soon. Whether it’s because of the cars, shenanigans, and chaos of the multiplayer craziness or the grind of career mode, there is surely a little for everyone in this update. Well, that is except for PlayStation players. Sorry guys. Maybe next time.
