This was information imparted to the public by ShiinaBR, the authoritative leaker and content creator of Fortnite, who shared a clip of the emote in action. Chaos? The characters were grooving to the synth-heavy beat, looking like they had been stormed at some underground rave. And don’t forget, of course, ShiinaBR gave his creator code (gotta eat) but really, the collab is the star of the show.
This sort of feeling? Mixed all through, really. Some players are actually scrambling for it; a fan screeched, “MY FAVORITE BAND GETTING AN EMOTE OUT OF NOWHERE WHAT.” Then other players would rather express their dislike; “Who asked for this?” one more voice echoed the general bewilderment as to why, of all things, LCD Soundsystem now was part of the ever-growing Fortnite universe.
Amid this, Fortnite said a big, big, “Curveball”. One moment it’s Dragon Ball Z; next up it’s… well, one obscure indie band from the 2000s? Sure, why not? Responses to ShiinaBR’s tweet are a mixed bag, with some screaming for more anime skins (“WHERE IS PICCOLO N GOHAN??!!”), some clutching for Venom’s return in the shop, and one probably counting down to Hawkgirl like it’s their last day in jail.
And that comes with some interesting timing. With Season 4 running at full pace, one would think all egg-laying from Epic is on music-themed content. “Feels like we’re gonna get new emotes every day until the 15th,” one fan said, “If that’s the case, buckle up.” So, could that mean more weird artist collabs?
