Over the years, Fortnite has featured some insanely cool events in-game, and now teams like 100 Thieves and CouRageJD have their own official top five list. And thus… Gamers HAVE OPINIONS!
What was supposed to be a simple tweet by 100 Thieves, featuring CouRageJD and the 5-Hour Energy bottle, turned into a maelstrom of controversy, with some players agreeing with the list, while others went on to call it “ass.” It’s a classic Fortnite community moment, really! The replies grew increasingly hyped, nostalgic, and undeniably disrespectful on why certain things should have been on the list.
One guy, Greg Lewis, named the Star Wars event as his favorite, calling it “the most immersive” despite some bugs. Then there’s Lunarity, who couldn’t stop thinking about the Marshmello Concert and said it “lives rent free” in their head. And of course, there was the ever-famous black hole event, with one witty soul saying that SypherPK is watching it till this day.
However, there were grumbles about the list. Someone outright said: “Unc this list is so ass,” while another asked why Marvel wasn’t placed higher. There was this one single reply that was just “🥶.” So legit!
CouRageJD even weighed in, calling it “the best list ever,” so that certainly puts some merit to these rankings. But seeing the sheer insane history of live events in Fortnite: Travis Scott, giant monster fights, and island flipping-fans are vehemently opinionated.
So what really is the top 5? The original tweet doesn’t shed light on that, but if you look at the replies, it should most likely contain:
– Marshmello concert (obvious)
– Star Wars collab
– The black hole / Chapter 1 finale
– Marvel season
– The giant robot v. monster fight
Kind of a freestyle from here. Everyone’s list differs. Some players are more focused on spectacle, others on gameplay changes. And then some events were, let’s say, broken on launch- Ahem, Star Wars lightsabers.-
In the end, Fortnite events ensure the game’s relevance. Whether its a virtual concert, a live story mode, or plain chaos, Epic certainly knows how to stay on the radar. And with rumors of new collabs already swirling around, the next big event may very well outshine all others.
What’s YOUR top 5? Drop them in the comments- but don’t get surprised if someone calls it “ass” as well. That’s just how the Fortnite community rolls.
