Alrighty, fellow zombie slayers: Treyarch has pulled back the curtain on the final map for Black Ops 6 Zombies, and shall I say, this looks like one gorgeous gore-fest. The studio released an exhaustive set of information regarding the end map Reckoning, which has enough features to scare off any Un-dead slayer.

One thing is for sure, intergalactic grandeur of chaos. Treyarch did not half-way it; they’ve given it their full heart, with some players already calling it a top-five zombies map ever. Everything is there-the layout, the atmosphere, the intensity of the final showdown. And from some new mechanics that they’ve teased, it looks like they will really shake up the survival/dying routine that we’ve followed for so many years.

That said: A few people aren’t really excited. A few fans are stuck in the past, reminiscing about the “OG days,” with one gamer outright stating that “Zombies is awful these days compared to the OG days.” Ouch. There goes your usual COD community split-half were outcries, “COD IS DEAD, WE’RE PLAYING BATTLEFIELD 6,” and half were off to prepare for an Easter Egg hunt. Classic.

Speaking of Easter Eggs, Treyarch gave us plenty to hunt for this time around. One player teased, “This is gonna be the greatest zombies DLC of all time,” and honestly? After witnessing how passionate the devs are about the finale, I’m with them. The map has all the layers, new enemies, and some crazy narrative twists that are going to wrap the story together.

And then there are the little things—like players begging for classic voice lines to return (“Please have S.A.M’s OG voice”), some demanding the game earn its cinematic trailer, because, let’s be honest, when COD does cutscenes, they’re something else. Even detractors would at least have to give it to Treyarch when they really put their efforts into zombies-they go all out.

For anyone who’s been a zombies vet for a long time or had uninstalled the game months ago (We see you, Smithy__11), this finale has a great deal to prove. Will it live up to the hype? Soon enough, we’ll be able to tell. But one thing for sure, Treyarch will not let Black Ops 6 Zombies exit with a whisper. No, this is going out with a bang, a scream, and probably even a few broken controllers.
