Having had the opportunity to steal one important appointment at PlayStation, intense marketing must be set for all things into Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Melanie Brou gave the announcement that she has gone all the way to Senior Brand Marketing Manager at PlayStation, and the project assigned to her as the very first remains the marketing for the anticipated Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
The very announcement sent shockwaves into the gaming world, whereby both players and industry folks started filling replies with well wishes and a couple of disparaging little jokes to start a console war (of course). We should really save that for after the story.
Now, let’s discuss the game itself. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls stands to be one of the biggest fighting games this year as it attempts to bring Arc System Works’ anime-style visual flair into the respective worlds of Marvel strength-from gods to villains. Thirst for the game first began with closed beta, and now that thirst is going stratospheric with Brou leading the marketing charge.
Reactions mostly stood at sides with praise. VideoGameConsoleAPE really set the tone for the comment section, saying, “WOW 🔥🔥 huge congrats!! Game looks AMAZING!!.”
The internet ignored any room for diplomacy from then on. Comments began pouring from some Xbox supporters, demanding-let me reiterate-demanding an Xbox version! ZakkenKloot commented, “Make it a career opportunity to bring this amazing Fighter to more players on Xbox Series X|S consoles!”
And so the console war banter began. An anonymous user shot back, “Only an idiot would buy an Xbox 😂,” and someone else responded, “That’s Something an Xbox would say.” Classic, classic.
Setting aside the platforms debate, players gave us some… intriguing requests. One person wanted beta exclusives: “Try to get us some exclusive cool items or recolors for playing the beta!” Another wanted a Marvel Tokon fight stick collectors edition, so honestly? Yes, please.
Then came the music. GamingTallen, obviously an Arc System Works soundtrack fan, urged Brou to “use as much music from the game as you can. Arc System Works’ music is amazing!”
Regarding Brou replying, well, no one, including Brou, has yet commented on any of the comments. But with the level of excitement for this game currently present, one can be fairly sure that all eyes will be on what he’s going to say next.
Still without even a release date guarantee, the marketing engine is already firing full steam on its own, which means forever cannot be far from fresh information to grab our hands on. If the beta was any indication at all, then this game should be the gracious win for every fighting game fan.
So yeah, big moves at PlayStation, big hyping for Marvel Tokon, and at least big drama in the replies. Just another day in gaming.
