Okay! Get your seatbelt on: the rumor mill is spinning faster than a default skin in the vacuum-like 90s wind. Recent spoils have been suggesting possible locations of map changes for the Season 4, and, well, people are just NOT having it. A tweet from @ShiinaBR citing @Loolo_WRLD and @maskmakerkaizo unleashed a blurred map-hologram of which the details were thrown open for speculation. And when I say “everyone,” I truly mean the entire Fortnite community is going berserk over supposed POI removals.
Let’s attempt to get that proverbial elephant-in-the-room-or-should-I-say-fox out of the way first. Supposedly Foxy Floodgate is slated for removal, which, ever since it opened its gates, has become one of the most cherished drop spots. No gamers will stand for it. Replies such as “NOOO FOXY FLOODGATE!!!!” by @Nikodemuss12 and “They better leave foxy floodgate alone” by @GravelordZ can be found basically echoing such sentiment. Just imagine the ultimate final landing there-an emotional trauma.
But of course, it ain’t just about Foxy Floodgate. The leak brings with it the possibility that several other sites will be stripped of their present-day glory, including Canyon Crossing and Pumped Powers. @PumpKingRBLX calls them “the best POI’s” and is sorrowful at the prospect of them disappearing. Meanwhile, @90Leathers continues, “How many more times are they gonna remove my drop spots?” Bro, same. Every single season Epic Games is playing musical chairs with the map and now, it’s a mad rush to stay in the loop.
And now, onto the gold biome. Or, as @CharybdysseusII calls it, “the ugly gold biome.” Yes, some players really want to be free of it. “I wish the gold biome would go away already,” they said. Hard but fair. Then there’s the snow biome–@purp_kamii already pointed out the glaring issue: “summer’s about to be over and they still got us fighting in snow biomes.” Not to mention the hide-and-seek act with the white cursor just blending in. Who was the genius behind this?
But wait, there’s more! Some players are convinced this is leading to a full-blown Disney season. @_MightyRaptor, straight up, “Im calling it a Disney Season because we all know who’s pulling strings.” Oof. I mean, if that’s the case, Mickey Mouse might be the next boss fight. And honestly? It does track.
Of course, there are still some who refuse to entertain the leaks. @Echo_FNC sees the white parts of the hologram as just remnants of the Season 1 snow biome outline. Could be a red herring, but let’s be real-when has Epic ever NOT changed the map dramatically?
Then there’s @Przemo24PL, who was hilariously random when he asked: “Is Goku going to get SS4?” Sir, this is a Fortnite leak. But then again… maybe?
Okay, so, what’s the verdict? If these leaks turn out to be true, Season 4 is going to be very thrilling. New biomes, potential Disney collabs, and the pure emotional distress of saying goodbye to Foxy Floodgate. Will Epic heed our calls? Probably not, but hey, something fresh to initiate new shade on.
One thing is for sure, though: Fortnite players never get bored. Even mad, the moment they’re through building, they’re straight in the game watching what changes to accept. That’s the beauty of it. Or the addiction. Either way, see you on the (maybe changed) battlefield.
