Genshin Impact players are resonating hard with this character reveal. Aino, the kooky tinkerer from the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, Hydro Vision, and Cistellula Mira constellation, has already divided the community between lore significance, design, and even snack choices.

They went ahead and posted Aino’s friendship formula: like with any good robot manual, reject savory krumkakes, praise her gadgets, and play with her a lot. Cute, right? The reply section is pure madness, though. Some were all for the whole thing (“She’s so cute 😭😭😭 Needs pats 💕❤💢”), while others debated her Vision in relation to Moon Wheel lore.

Gist is that her Hydro Vision is the typical Hydro Vision and not the kind of Moon Wheel owned by Ineffa, Flins, and Lauma. It is important because the Moon Wheels can cause lunar reactions, and Aino is not capable of doing so. Hence, the possible crisis got averted for those people whose metaplayer hopes came down crashing: “Wasn’t she supposed to be key to lunar reactions? Wtf.” Another above-grunt-level fan theorized that Hoyoverse is “locking lunar mechanics behind 5-stars.” Oof.

Then it was all about design, and fans would legitimately melt down over that screw hairpin (“The screw for a hair pin is a cute touch! ❤️😊”), whereas the question remained open regarding her rarity. “Her design deserves 5-star more than Flins,” one said, while the other countered with “more useless characters.” Harsh.

Of course, the usual offenders unloaded on her. One person called her “pedo bait,” evoking a backlash: “What crawled up your ass dawg, let them be excited.” The lore nerds passionately argued about whether Moon Wheels and Visions are functionally the same (they are not- ask the Nod-Krai stans).

Others just cashed in on the hype: “Oh we’re so building Aino,” one optimistically stated, “moving Flins’ banner ASAP,” another demanded. Priorities.

So what is the verdict? Clumsy yet cute and divisive, Aino is either a prized possession or a bench character depending on whom you ask. What is for sure is that the Genshin community never pass on one glimmer of opportunity to turn one cute character into an all-out fight. Pass those krumkakes; there will be time to snack on them.

And hey, at least she is not another Pyro DPS. Small victories.
