For some reason, Fortnite decided to open the storm cloister and amenity prayer. Those boots are in the item shop for 600 V-Bucks, which elicited some reactions from the community, and… well, let’s just say, the sentiments are split. The tweet from HYPEX was very minimalist: NEW BOOTS OUT NOW, 600 V-BUCKS, yet, those replies have quite a vibe there. Some players like the look of the boots, some are trashing the boots, while some others are just raising their hands and pleading for Dragon Ball skins to return. The typical mess of the Fortnite community!
The first thing: those boots. Funky, stylish, 600 V-Bucks-away almost $5.40-U.S. Dollars (shoutout to Phinnix for the conversion). A few are envisioning putting them on others, Hawkford for Chun Li, and aestheticdemon for Etheria. However, not everybody likes that latter world view. One describes it as goofy ahh boots; meanwhile, rickonlyman was fairly direct about whether they should really degrade the aesthetic value of Fortnite… Let’s just say he didn’t see much good in the back view.
Then the Dragon Ball guys haven’t stopped. Several comments are a demand level asking for updates on when Gohan and Piccolo will return, with one threatening to strip the DB away already if Gohan and Piccolo ain’t returning. That was desperate already. While others are asking when the next wave of Dragon Ball is coming since apparently, the Fortnite collab with the anime isn’t finished. Or so the players hope.
Oh, but wait-there’s more. Some are simply complaining about the stale item shop: “Bro there’s like nothing new in this shop wow,” shiinszn complains as HyperFlamez jokes that it was actually so bad earlier that HYPEX couldn’t bother touring about it. Ouch! Then there’s that dude who refuses to buy any more shoes until poor General Grievous gets some love. Priorities.
And a Fortnite update is never accepted without some technical issues. One player begs HYPEX to fix East Coast servers because ping in Creative mode is way worse than in Battle Royale, while another one is seeing a weird PlayStation error that prevents settings from downloading. Well, that pretty much sums up one of those joyous days in Fortnite land. Shades of Fortnite goodness drop new cosmetics; either the players love them or hate them, and somehow, some of the players have to bring up Dragon Ball! Will these boots become, at one point, the most sought-after item? Probably not. Are the players actually going to buy those anyway? Almost definitely. Will those Dragon Ball guys ever see their Gohan and Piccolo skins? Only time will tell. But for now?! If anyone has 600 V-Bucks burning a hole in their pocket, these boots are waiting to be grabbed. Do not expect a consensus on whether or not they are worth it.
