Space Marine 2 has come up with a whopping patch and the economies are making some cash following changes introduced. Patch 9.0 dropped on the servers, carrying within it quality improvements, balancing, and fixes for both PvE and PvP. Siege, Data Vaults, weapons, and classes got their share of spotlight because it was quite a hefty patch.
Further patch notes could be found here if you really want to scroll through tons of weapon changes and class balancing, but to be honest—what really matters is what the players think. There are, as can be expected, mixed reactions. Some found it awesome. Some are still begging for content. Some actually never thought PvP would get any new weapons.
One of the players, Tau Enjoyer, was basically saying that alongside these new PvP weapon additions, they are “eating crumbs,” but crumbs are better than nothing, right? Already some eyes are on the horizon, with one user clamoring that “hopefully 10.0 is a big PvP update.” Indeed, pal, we all want that.
Then we have those folks on consoles-denied their FOV slider in the past. Multiple replies have been given begging for it. One even called for a 40FPS/120Hz mode. We hear you, devs; it’s about time these console players got some love.
Cosmetic requests continue to come in, though. Grey Knights armor? Techs? Playable Dreadnoughts? The community has a very long wish list, and some of those ideas are brilliant. Imagine stomping about as a Dreadnought during Siege. That would be absolute chaos. Beautifully beautiful chaos.
Siege mode, from then on, is the next one to get criticism, with mission randomness and crashes being cited. Nate remembers losing a run due to a crash halfway through Siege-Brutal. Here’s hoping the patch brings an end to that.
Kudos, nonetheless, to the Warhammer faithful shouting lines like “The Emperor protects!” in the comments. Never change, fam.
So yeah, Patch 9.0 is here and bursting at the seams. Whether you grind in PvE or sweat it out in PvP, there is something for you in the update. But one thing I’m gonna say again is: FOV slider…
