Fortnite players get into unlimited crazy action with a giant update dropping on September 2, with a shocking revelation that Dragon Ball Mythics might be out for just an hour! Yes, you read that correctly. One. Single. Hour. Then comes the Ninja Blitz Royale update, after which the community is half-hyped and half-embarrassed.

According to official Fortnite Twitter, the Super Showdown storyline event is finishing by 3 P.M. Eastern, meaning that is the time when Dragon Ball Mythics take off. But that is the problem, their duration is so short. Everybody speculates that the mythics must include unlimited Kamehameha (well duh, it’s Dragon Ball), but the real question is: for only an hour? Some are thinking of it as a small taste for bigger content later, and others are straight-up mad. Like can you imagine really grinding for these mythics, and they’re gone even before you can say “Shenron!”

Then, there is this whole Ninja update thing. And I’m not talking about Naruto-Ninja referring to the streamer. Kind of cool for the fans, but a number of players are side-eyeing that decision. “Who the hell cares about Ninja when we could have more DBZ?” was a succinct answer to that consideration. On the other hand, some are angry already, just for having to work through the Dragon Ball event.

And the chaos has not stopped. Some are jumping ahead pondering whether there will be a Jujutsu Kaisen Blitz week (because anime crossovers are pretty much Fortnite’s bread and butter). Others are praying, hoping Epic never puts their mythics on such short timers again. “Don’t do this to the JJK mythics, I’ve been waiting years” said one tweet.

But hey, the Blitz Royale mode is still very alive and kicking. Despite a couple of casual complaints of sweaty lobbies, it is said to have remained prehistoric highest mode of play since its launch. So anytime hype is your thing, may 2nd August sure look crazy!

Just set a timer for that one hour or be one of the losers and cry your way through half the season.

And for anyone that needs to know… There’s no news yet about what this means concerning more anime collabs. But really, when has Fortnite ever said no to a spicy crossover? Stay tuned for anything big that might come next.
