The fresh wallpaper for Version 5.8 has sent the community of Genshin into a frenzy. The official Genshin Impact account went on to release the wallpaper called “Events Calendar” which allows players to keep track of all the upcoming in-game events stylishly, and let’s admit, who doesn’t appreciate free good wallpaper for their favorite game?
The tweet contained a link to the calendar for players to keep up to-date with all the bonuses that version will bring, as well as a direct link to download the wallpaper itself. The design featured one of the new characters introduced in this update: Ineffa. Seriously, she is gorgeous. With that, the hashtags #GenshinImpact5ꓸ8 and #Ineffa were suddenly trending as everybody rushed to get new artwork.
This is where it gets quite interesting in the replies, some were loving it, and some others had, opinions. Dilshad Hussain said, “Just grabbed the wallpaper looks amazing! 🔥 Thanks for the update..!” Meanwhile, Today – Simple Day Planner said, “I love the new wallpaper it looks so cool.”
Now, moving on to those passionate opinions, Endbringer started to peel back mistreatment and called Genshin Impact mid-tier to another game (presumably Wuwa). MiMoSa73, meanwhile, began throwing shade at the new characters calling them “flop robot, ugly Chasca and thick gooner Varesa.” Ouch, right?
So, not everyone wanted drama. A lot of players just wanted more content with Ineffa: Astraea tweeted, “I need more Ineffa🔧,” to which I say, so do I. xeco took the more refined path, praising devs for “the wallpaper of the new wife of Aether!” while asking for more “cute waifus to add them in the harem.” Classic Genshin community.
Then came Lukas Main, wanting nothing but for Ineffa to meet Noelle. No context. Just vibes.
Overall, the wallpaper is much adored by most players who continue to praise its design. BLOCKXS.COM said it best: “Wallpaper looks good, thanks,” with AuthenticViewsX sharing their love for the update.
Version 5.8 is indeed shaping up to be quite hot, with the Sunspray Summer Resort event and Ineffa being brought to the forefront by the community. Be it for the new content, the drama, or just the free wallpaper, Genshin Impact knows how to keep their target audience interested.
