CD Projekt Red has dropped what is being dubbed its “photo patch”: Update 2.3 has added more poses to Photo Mode, granting anyone more time to shoot pictures than to shoot baddies; getting familiarized with this might be useful soon, whatever that means. 👀
The official account of Cyberpunk 2077 was joking and suggested that modeling might be a pretty decent Plan B for those mercs of Night City. Many players were pleased about the arrival of these features, but many… well, they have become a mixed bag of love, demands, and outright mayhem.
Let’s get the good stuff rolling first. Vladuhius and LUCIDR32 were going crazy with the photo mode and were sharing their pictures with captions like “Hell yeah” and “Preem new features.” Levoryon and ノゾミ (that’s Nozomi for the uninitiated) thanked CDPR for the update because it’s all about that vibe.
Well, on the other side of the coin, RedDragon251, and a few others, were still caught up on the absent third-person view. They want CDPR to “recode the whole game” in order that it remains. LPNintendoITA seemed to be ever-present in the replies, constantly answering said demands with gems such as “not worth rewriting the whole game for this” and “this guys thinking they want to spend money on rewriting the whole game for 3rd person lmao.” Ouch.
Conversely, crabemperor said, “No, I don’t dig it, dumping the update with ‘stupid crap’ and demanding instead a PS5 Pro patch, whereas there’s that_dude_ian, who’d just like to get a giggle from the new poses but got the closed door because Nvidia driver crashes have him in a bind.”
Things like this would really set subwaypilot off, stating that some poses and cosmetics are still gender-locked, which is… dangerously outdated in such a game that boasts of customization. Kida1910, on the other hand, just wanted to go all out with Fem V, all talk.
With that, remember to appreciate the real MVPs who went all-in! Nermian123 and LumityBoss dropped their own Photo Mode masterpieces with a reminder for everyone that there is always time for a decent screenshot amidst the chaos of Night City. Then, JV1I3N_ reaffirms love for Cyberpunk 2077, “I love you. I love you.” Same here, dude. Same here.
With all said, what can one learn from this? The Update 2.3 stands as another milestone in the redemption arc of Cyberpunk 2077, empowering players with more tools to mold their vision of Night City. Whether they come here for photography support or the last flicker of hope for a third-person feature, one thing’s clear—it’s never going out with a bang. And with CDPR hinting that “this might be useful soon” with regards to Photo Mode skills, who really knows? Maybe dating sim, anyone? Mercs can dream.
