Cyberpunk 2077 has just enjoyed its Update 2.3, which included one significant add-on-the possibility to summon Delamain. The upgrade allows clients to summon their classy black cabs now across all the spots in Night City, including Embers, that PTSD-inducing player-meeting spot-from the game. While showered with praise by some players, the comments section faces extreme bombardment, presumably more than in Pacifica.

So what does this installment feature? First of all, you can now just call a Delamain cab from anywhere in Night City. Are you still running down to the fast travel points or even just grabbing some random car to fill those minutes? Open your phone, give Delamain a call, and BOOM-the cab is there. The feature was teased long ago but has just made its way into the game now, which is especially a reason that makes some of the players throw some major shade at CDPR, saying: “bruh where this at launch?”

Not holding back was Razerback_45: “Where was this when the game launched and everyone was broke? You guys screwed Cyberpunk for 2 years trying to fix one of if not THE worst launch of a game I have ever seen in 40+ years of living.” Oof. How can you even argue with this? Though if one sought an argument, Cyberpunk’s launch in 2020 was very much like being raided by MaxTac.

Not all have been mad since it has been modded. The_FlumeAT gave a clip of the thing working perfectly with a “It works great👍.” Edmitsu dubbed Cyberpunk 2077 “the game of the decade” for them so far. FirePuma0142 spewed out praises, saying it’s the “best single-player experience since Ocarina of Time.” Heavy praises, choom.

Of course, there are always bugs with every update. AlexL0519 went on to note that some players that have completed all required quests for Delamain cabs haven’t gotten them yet, but are complaining about auto-drive being broken for others. Then there are those Xbox Series X owners, rfmnsrg29 and gotttaluvmarcel, complaining about VRR not really working. CDPR probably needs to put out another patch to patch this patch.

And this actually leads us to the real kerfuffle: third person. JonnyDMusic almost begs for an option, while 2_travis44 says: “Why tf so many people ask for 3rd person lmao 1st is just perfect for this world.” Much heated debate is going on here, just as with the “New Game+” requests (Tacticalpasta_, I’m looking at you!).

Update 2.3 is a very eerie little addition, especially for the role players wanting to see a little of the hustle-and-bustle of Night City. But it is pretty clear that a whole lot of work is still needed for CD Projekt Red to get the trust of the whole lot of people. Maybe that next update will be the one under which we can finally pet Nibbles. A merc can dream.

So yeah, a party for Delamain emerges. Used to escape Hanako in Embers would indeed be a high leap for this Cyberpunk 2077 since some of the able software is a crunch to chill with the AI’s weirdly soothing voice. Shame, shame on you for asking the internet to stop complaining anytime soon!
