Prepare those wallets, Fortnite players! The skins are reportedly dropping next week. The leak names almost 20 items to be divided into roughly four bundles. There is a lot of banter, hype, and wallet jabs about this collab online.
The leak came from a very reputable source, ShiinaBR, who suggested that the Fantastic Four were finally being brought to Fortnite alongside an already existing roster of Marvel characters—in all fairness, the player base is already divided on the skins’ looks. Some are begging Epic not to use the MCU designs while others are hoping for comic designs. One user even said, “If Mr. Fantastic doesn’t look like this, don’t even bother,” in comment reaction to a meme featuring the classic comic look.
Pricing is another matter. Roughly 20 items are up for grabs, and your V-Bucks balance may not be able to survive it. Someone guessed it could reach 8,000 V-Bucks, while another said sarcastically, “My wallet is saved” with a crying emoji. That classic Fortnite economy.
But the real drama? The Invisible Woman’s shoes. Someone even pointed out that there’s technically 21 cosmetics due to her footwear. Because, obviously, Fortnite players will count everything. Meanwhile, the others are looking further on: one says they’re “saving for Demon Slayer” instead. Priorities!
And then, there were all those bundle debates. Some players want one big bundle, like the TMNT collab, while others try to avoid the thought of the separate purchases. One player even asked, “So you can’t gift if it’s a single bundle?” because nothing screams love like gifting your squad matching superhero skins.
We can’t forget about the Silver Surfer cult-following, either. Many comments are demanding a female Silver Surfer variant, one proclaiming, “female Silver Surfer is better than male Silver Surfer lmfao.” The passion is real.
Not everyone is thrilled, though. Maybe the MCU has already been taken down by a few: “no one cares about the M-SHE-U,” said one sarcastically. Another shot back, claiming that Superman literally “clears” the Fantastic Four—that’s the ongoing Marvel vs. DC debate.
So what’s the verdict? If these leaks are true, next week could be very huge for Marvel fans on Fortnite. Whether for Stretchy Powers, Invisible Memes, or just another reason to drain your V-Bucks, one thing is for certain: Epic still knows how to stir up conversation. Now, all that remains is to wait and see if the company is committing to the comic-accurate suits or is set for yet another design decision that will divide the whole community. Getting stared on by wallets, for sure.
