EA Sports College Football 26 soundtrack has dropped, and people are… well, there *are* some opinions out there. Some are really vibing with the new soundtrack, but a lot of players are ready to choke the controller over features not being in the game and gameplay inconveniences. Classic gamer energy.
Startin’ with the really good parts—EA Sports proudly announced its #CFB26 soundtrack, which features marching band covers and fight songs alongside contemporary tunes. One player’s daughter stopped the game to claim it was an Ariana Grande tune. A big thumbs-up for that, no doubt! Players such as @DirtyDozen went crazy for the authenticity, calling the marching band and drumline music “fantastic.” @Bengal7Bengal applauded the composers for the classy covers. And @Randomoufan2 is thankful to not have suffered through Dawn of the Drum numerous times from the previous titles.
There is always a “but,” as ever—some were pretty vocal in denouncing the game. After spotting the Illinois school song was wrong in the game, @Cedrick1224 was basically done with it, saying that it was an immersion killer. Creatively inexplicable absences of celebration energy were derided by @MoneyManzielSzn et al. as another way of mocking domination after scoring in head-to-head matches; I mean, what’s the point of dominating if you can’t flex a little?
And so enter the Rants, this time *volume less* (because there’s always a little room for yelling). @wolf133789 succinctly summed it up with “F*** this God damn game,” but @MrNeutral286940 was all questioning how the hell could the game grade him so harshly for racking up pleasing stats with a C- and detrimental fan morale. They’re insanely annoyed by the weather too-something about feeling like an eternal Dynasty mode hurricane (@_PoolPartyPapi_).
Improvement suggestions also started pouring in. @BTJokicFC wants weather updates, defensive audibles, and more night games to really seal the deal. @dnk900 demanded Metallica; @Landonian20 wanted to stream the new Campus Clash theme outside of the game. Meanwhile, @jjmccaurathy is totally intent on how to hook up Spotify. Priorities, man.
Of course, before really talking EA Sports, you had 1,000 people yelling “Fix the game” one more time. @buzzonthego called out all the Madden-esque problems freezing, busted play art, and inability to pick kick return plays. In contrast, @Bonyers123 kind of went all over himself to say CFB26 might be “the best football game ever created.” Talk about a redeeming “almost.”
So that is it: the soundtrack for the EA Sports College Football 26 is out, and the mayhem follows on both good and bad sides. Will the updates fix everything? Or will the players keep screaming into the void? Time alone with another patch might tell.
Till then, happy gaming. And keep an umbrella by your side in case you’re playing Dynasty mode-age. Just saying.
