Keeping things quite vague, the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account tweeted this out, without any details, just a sleek image and the tagline: “The journey continues.” Oh, classic Ubisoft, teasing us all!
What is going on? Speculations are rife. DLCs for Assassin’s Creed Mirage being an unexpected expansion? Or perhaps it could even be a first look at the next mainline game? Either way, the hootenanny in the Assassin’s Creed universe has been going on with the return of the classic stealthy feeling from the phenomenal Mirage, and rumors are that the next major installment is headed for feudal Japan.
Under the tweet, the seriously ominous comments-nay, the absence of such-are something else considering Ubisoft traditionally has leaking fans of all kinds commenting theories, memes, and demands for more. Maybe shops are honing hidden blades for the release, but that silence could mean something much, much bigger than what Ubisoft might want to divulge.
April 30-most definitely, now circled in red on every AC fan calendar. New content, remaster, full sequel reveal-Ubisoft is keeping the flame alive. And let’s be honest-very high after that truly successful Mirage.
