Seattle Surge – Team Breakdown. Call Of Duty League Esport Inaugural Series

The Call of Duty League is set to officially get underway on January 24, 2020. There will be 12 city teams competing, hailing from four different countries.

Representing the Northwest corner of the United States, the Seattle Surge is prepared to bring glory to their city.

Damon “Karma” Barlow
Birthplace: Napanee, Ontario, Canada
Born: July 17, 1993
Team Role: Flex
Accomplishments: Competing since 2011. Won 24 major championships. Only player ever to win three World Championships (2013, 2014, and 2017).

Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov
Birthplace: Miami, Florida, USA
Birthdate: April 15, 1994
Team Role: Main SMG
Accomplishments: Nine-year Call of Duty Pro. Competed in over 40 events. Competed in last three World Championships, winning in 2016 and 2018

Ian “Enable” Wyatt
Birthplace: Philadelphia, PA, USA
Born: January 20, 1994
Team Role: Flex
Accomplishments: Over a decade of experience as a Call of Duty pro. One of only two players to win a major LAN tournament in both Call of Duty and Halo.

Sam “Octane” Larew
Birthplace: Richmond, Virginia, USA
Born: June 23, 1997
Team Role: Main AR
Accomplishments: Six major event wins and a second-place finish at the 2019 World Championships. MVP at multiple CWL events. One of only two players to win an event every year for the CWL (the other being Slacked).

Josiah “Slacked” Berry
Birthplace: Kansas City, Missouri, USA
Born: May 20, 1997
Team Role: Support SMG
Accomplishments: Eight years of online competition experience. One of only two players to win an event every year for the CWL (the other being Octane).

Joey “Nubzy” DiGiacomo
Birthplace: Ashtabula, Ohio, USA
Born: April 21, 1998
Team Role: Head Coach
Accomplishments: Coached an amateur Call of Duty: WW2 team to a top-eight finish at the World Championships. This year, Nubzy coached Gen.G to a second-place finish at CWL Anaheim and CWL Pro League.

Branding: Their logo’s main feature is the forks of a trident with eyes, and the colors used are different shades of blue. The logo symbolizes the Greek god Poseidon and features the famous top of the Seattle Space Needle.
